✨ Ivybank 2025: A Year in Moments ✨

From January’s first hopeful steps into a new year to December’s gentle closing notes, 2025 has been a year filled with connection, kindness, and countless moments that reminded us what makes Ivybank so special 💛

Each month brought its own treasured memories, shared laughter, meaningful conversations, new experiences, and the everyday moments that quietly became the heart of our year.

What made 2025 truly meaningful wasn’t just the activities, but the people. Our wonderful residents, whose warmth, stories, and spirit brighten every day. And our dedicated colleagues, whose compassion and commitment create a place where everyone feels valued, supported, and truly at home.

We couldn’t be more grateful to walk this journey with such incredible individuals. Their presence is what turns Ivybank from a building into a genuine community.

As we look back, we feel proud, thankful, and deeply moved by everything we’ve shared together. And as we step into 2026, we carry with us the joy, the memories, and the hope that the year ahead will bring even more moments worth cherishing ✨

Our residents and colleagues shared so many smiles, festive moments, and delicious treats, it was a truly heart‑warming day filled with joy, laughter, and togetherness. ❤️

🎄✨ Making Christmas Cards at Ivybank! ✂️💌

Our residents at Ivybank have been getting creative and festive, spending a lovely afternoon making their very own Christmas cards!

With colourful designs, glittery touches, and plenty of smiles, the room was full of Christmas cheer.

It was a wonderful way to share stories, enjoy good company, and spread a little handmade joy this season. ❤️

🎄🍪 Gingerbread Treats at Ivybank! 🍪🎄

Christmas came with an extra sprinkle of sweetness at Ivybank as all our residents enjoyed some delicious gingerbread treats

The festive aromas, warm smiles and happy chatter made it a lovely moment to share together. Our wonderful colleagues helped make the afternoon feel cosy and cheerful, creating a perfect little taste of Christmas joy 💫

🎄 𝗔 𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 🦌

This December, colleagues, residents, families and friends from across all 27 Meallmore care homes came together to do something truly special.

Through our Meallmore Reindeer Run, we collectively:
✔ 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝟰,𝟴𝟬𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀
✔ 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 £𝟮,𝟮𝟲𝟬 𝗳𝗼𝗿 Cash for Kids – 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀
✔ 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟱𝟬 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘀 to support children and families across our local communities

From walking, wheeling, cycling and adapting activities, to festive costumes, creativity and teamwork, this was a challenge that everyone could be part of — and that’s what made it so powerful.

More than a fundraiser, the Reindeer Run was about:
💚 Inclusion and connection
💚 Bringing people together
💚 Supporting families beyond our homes
💚 Showing what’s possible when communities work as one

A huge thank you to every resident, colleague, family member and supporter who took part, donated, cheered us on or helped make this happen. This is what makes Meallmore such a special community - and why we’re so proud of the people who live and work in our homes.

What a way to finish the year. 🎄✨

Meallmore’s Reindeer Run saw 27 care homes travel 4,800 miles, raising £2,260 and donating over 250 gifts for Cash for Kids.

There was something for everyone – from a fantastic selection of stalls to fun activities that brought smiles all around.❤️

With brushes, colours, and creativity, we honoured the bravery and sacrifice of those who served, while sharing stories and memories that continue to inspire us all.

🧸 Spreading Smiles for Children in Need at Ivybank! 🧸

We had a lovely time celebrating Children in Need this week – complete with bear ears and lots of cheerful moments!

Residents and colleagues alike joined in the fun, sharing laughter and kindness throughout the day. ✨

It was a heart-warming way to come together and show our support for such a special cause!

We had some very special guests hopping by — Bunny & Co brought bundles of joy, cuddles, and smiles to everyone at Ivybank!

Our lovely colleagues made sure the visit was full of laughter, gentle moments, and plenty of photo opportunities with the animals. It’s amazing how a little fluff and a lot of love can brighten the day!
