✈️ Airthrey Airlines Destination: Paris!

At Airthrey, we took off on a wonderful virtual adventure as we launched our very own Airthrey Airlines, inviting residents to join us on a magical trip to Paris. Passports were stamped, refreshments were served from our cabin‑crew trolley, and excitement filled the room as everyone prepared for take‑off!

🗼 Eiffel Tower
We admired the iconic landmark and enjoyed learning fascinating facts about its history and beautiful views.

🥐 Parisian Bakery
A delicious stop filled with cakes, pastries and plenty of smiles.

⛪ Notre‑Dame
We explored the famous cathedral and revisited the story of Quasimodo.

🎢 Disneyland Paris
A joyful moment filled with favourite characters and happy memories.

💃 The River Seine
We ended our journey imagining a warm Parisian evening, with music in the air and couples dancing beside the riverside.

A fabulous day of imagination, travel and shared moments - Airthrey Airlines is cleared for more adventures soon! 💛✈️

💛 Random Acts of Kindness at Airthrey 💛

We’ve been feeling the kindness at Airthrey this week!

Ray kindly helped with some dusting, and afterwards Jean and Margaret joined in by helping cut out our “passports” for an upcoming travel‑themed activity ✂️😊

These simple moments of teamwork and togetherness bring so much joy to our home - a lovely reminder that kindness really does make a difference.

🐾💛 A Special Visitor at Airthrey Care Home! 💛🐾

We were absolutely delighted to welcome Zuri and volunteer Samantha to Airthrey Care Home - and what a truly lovely visit it was!

Visits from Zuri bring so much joy, comfort and companionship, and our residents thoroughly enjoyed spending time together. There were plenty of smiles, gentle cuddles and heart-warming moments shared throughout the home 💖🐶

A huge thank you to Samantha and Zuri for bringing such warmth and happiness to our day. We are already looking forward to the next visit!

🧘‍♀️⚔️ Morning Stretches… with a Twist at Airthrey! 🧘‍♀️⚔️

Here at Airthrey, we started with calm and gentle morning stretches… and somehow ended up in a foam‑sword duel! 🗡️😄

Our residents absolutely love adding a bit of fun and laughter to their exercise sessions - and this morning’s unexpected burst of playfulness was a perfect example!

“Note to self: never underestimate residents during morning exercises.” 😂

Our Valentine’s celebrations continued with even more beautiful moments from our Valentine’s photoshoot! 💘

Friends, family and our lovely residents all took part - and colleagues joined in too, adding to the fun and heartfelt atmosphere.

The day was filled with laughter, smiles and so much joy. Our home felt especially warm, full of friendship, love and the simple moments that mean the most 💛

We’ve been celebrating love in the sweetest way at Airthrey with our wonderful Valentine’s photoshoot!

Friends, family and our lovely residents all joined in - and even colleagues got involved too, making it a truly special experience.

❤️ Happy Valentine’s Day from Airthrey! ❤️

We’ve been sharing the love here at Airthrey Care Home, and our residents truly enjoyed a day filled with smiles and sweetness 💕

From beautiful red roses at lunchtime to our fun love‑themed glasses, the room was full of laughter and happy moments. And the celebrations didn’t stop there…
We continued the Valentine’s fun with delicious cupcakes and heart‑shaped lollies, adding an extra touch of sweetness to the afternoon 🍭🧁💖

🍕 International Pizza Day at Airthrey! 🍕

We kneaded this kind of day at Airthrey! Residents had a fantastic time celebrating International Pizza Day by making their very own pizzas

There were smiles all round as everyone rolled, topped and baked their delicious creations. Safe to say we were serving smiles by the slice, with the odd cheesy joke too! 😄

🎬✨ Off to the Movies! ✨🎬

We travelled back to the fabulous 1950s for a good old-fashioned movie afternoon, enjoying a classic showing of Calamity Jane.

With popcorn in hand and plenty of smiles all round, it wasn’t long before we were singing along - and it turns out those lyrics are still well remembered!

A lovely afternoon filled with music, memories and shared enjoyment, bringing a little Hollywood magic right into our home 🍿💛

🏡💛 Home Is Where the Heart Is 💛🏡

Our sensory session had everyone rolling up their sleeves for some baking fun! 👩‍🍳🧀
We were delighted to proudly present our homemade cheese & pesto twists - a wonderful mix of hands-on activity, familiar scents, and plenty of smiles along the way.

There may have been a few messy hands, but it was all worth it for the happy hearts and sense of achievement shared by our residents. Moments like these truly make our home feel special ✨

🎈🎾 Balloon Tennis Brings Big Smiles🎈🎾

Balloon tennis is always a hit at Airthrey Care Home and makes the perfect high‑fun morning warm‑up!

It gets residents moving without feeling like “exercise”, helps wake up coordination and reflexes, and most importantly brings 100% smiles all round 💛

There were plenty of laughs as the balloon was batted back and forth, creating a lively and uplifting atmosphere.

Fun, movement and meaningful moments - just the way we like it! 🎈🎾
