Happy 60th birthday to Marilyn who turns 60 on Tuesday 🥳 She is on annual leave next week so we are celebrating her today! Marilyn opens up the building every morning for us and is an important part of our morning team. She is very helpful and kind to all our patients and always tries to do her best by everyone in the practice. We hope you have a wonderful birthday Marilyn and hope you know how much you are appreciated from all the Parkhill team 💕

Happy 50th birthday to our wonderful Tracy 💕🥳🎁🎈🎂 Celebrating today as she is off tomorrow for her big day. You can usually hear her before you see her- always laughing, happy and smiling 😄 She is the oracle of the practice and everyone always asks Tracy when they have a question! So many of our patients say how wonderful Tracy is and we really appreciate having her in the Parkhill team ❤️

April- 122 patients
May- 129 patients

This is the number of patients who failed to attend their appointments in April and May without letting us know. This is a huge waste of clinician time and very frustrating that we cannot offer this space to someone else in need.

We do understand and appreciate that there may be times where you cannot make your booked appointment and that emergencies also happen but can you please let us know so we can offer the appointment to another patient if possible.

We send text reminders for booked appointments. If you need to update your details, please let our reception team know.
We have very high demand for appointments and repeatedly wasting appointment time by not attending may result in you being removed from the practice list.

Patients please note we will be closed on Monday 2nd June 2025. If you require medical attention during this time, please call NHS 24 on 111. If your problem is life threatening, please call 999. Your local dentist, optician and pharmacy may also be able to help with any relevant issues. We will reopen on Tuesday 3rd June 2025 at 8am.

The surgery will close for staff training at 1230 on Thursday 15/5/25 and reopen Friday 16/5/25 at 0800. If you have a medical emergency that cannot wait please call 07483107802 between 1230 and 1800 (this number will not be active at any other time), thereafter please call 111.
Your local pharmacy or optician will still be open and may be able to offer assistance where appropriate.

Reminder that we will be dealing with urgent on the day issues differently from today.

From Monday we will be dealing with urgent on the day problems differently. You will be given an emergency appointment that day and will be expected to attend the practice. To ensure you get an appointment please call as close to 8AM as possible. Please help our reception staff by sharing your reason for requesting an appointment. Then they can direct you to the most appropriate NHS service (which may be outwith the practice), or appoint you with the correct health professional within the practice.

Phone system update.
While our phones are back up and running we are experiencing intermittent problems with connectivity. If you are cut off mid call we are sorry but it’s outwith our control. The engineers are working to fix this.
