Good morning. We are changing our hours at the Avonbridge surgery from this week....

Monday- 8:30am-12 midday, 2pm-6pm
Tuesday- 8:30am- 12 midday, 2pm-5:30pm
Wednesday- 8:30am- 12 midday
Thursday- CLOSED
Friday- 8:30am-12 midday, 2pm-6pm

All calls to Avonbridge surgery will be diverted to Parkhill during times of closure. Thank you.

Referral to other healthcare providers if required
Pharmacist prescribers are able to prescribe free medication for a wider range of conditions, including:

Respiratory infections
Sinusitis
Ear pain
Sore throats
Urinary tract infections
Allergies
and many other common conditions

No appointment required – simply drop in at any of the pharmacies listed below during opening hours (10:00 – 17:00).

Today we say goodbye to Yvonne, our receptionist in Avonbridge. Yvonne has been with the practice for 17.5 years and has helped and supported so many of our patients as well as being a great part of our team. Yvonne wanted to finish her last shift at the end of the year and will be finishing in Avonbridge tonight for the very last time ❤️

We wish you all the best Yvonne, thank you very much for all that you have done, you will be missed and we wish you lots of luck for all your new adventures 🌟

Cases of flu are high this winter, so if you’re wondering whether it’s just a cold or you’re floored with flu here’s what to do.

Most symptoms can be safely managed at home. Rest, drink plenty of fluids, and use paracetamol or ibuprofen to ease aches and fever. Your pharmacist can advise on cold and flu remedies.

Antibiotics won’t help with colds and flu as they are viruses – time and self-care are best.

To stop the spread:
💉 get your flu vaccination if you are eligible
🧼 wash your hands regularly
😷 cover coughs and sneezes
