It is so easy to get bogged down by the mundane things in life: the dishes, the laundry pile, putting the bin out, the 9 - 5. And it can feel relentless. In this way, life passes us by. The trick is to marvel at the little things, to find the sacred in the soap suds. Not always easy, but a sure fire way to be connected to the Divine, to experience grace in the every day.

Technology has evolved so quickly, affording a fast paced life with constant stimulation, but humans have not evolved to match this. We were not designed to live in this way. The upcoming full moon in March bridges Winter and Spring. We look at what is beginning to move in our lives again, we release stagnation and welcome gradual change. Join me on Monday 2nd March for a Full Moon Reiki Drum and Meditation class where we will use the 6 healing sounds of Qi Gong to release any stuck Winter energy, creating spaciousness in readiness for the lovely rising sap energy of Spring. Rosemary: This unassuming kitchen herb has amazing properties. As well as improving cognitive function ( research has shown promise in treating and preventing Dementia ) it is packed full of anti oxidants, is highly anti-inflammatory and can help to reduce anxiety, lower cortisol and boost mood. It thrives in my garden right through the winter months and so I've been drinking rosemary tea to benefit from it's ability to revitalise and energise the body, as I slowly emerge from my Wintering just in time for Imbolc.

Winter has again pulled me firmly into it's embrace and retreat and rest has become non- negotiable. I don't resist it anymore, just doing  the essentials, reducing work and commitments whilst understanding that this is a necessary process, with energy returning fully for me around the time of Imbolc. And importantly not feeling guilt around resting so much. I wonder what winter brings for you and how you respond to it?

As we move more deeply into Autumn, the call to turn inwards and rest strengthens. Answer the call with this beautifully relaxing and rejuvenating class of Yoga Nidra followed by Reiki Drum, finishing with homemade snacks. Nothing to do but simply let go.

Bring a mat and a bottle of water. Everything else is provided.
