Last Sunday I was back in Cambridge on very homely turf for the ! A magical weekend with not only a 5K race for cancer research (I came 7th!) but also special time with friends and heavenly dips in Jesus Green Lido - essential for styling out the sizzling weather! 🌞 Moved and saddened to recall much missed loved ones, especially my Dad. Good to channel grief into some slightly ludicrous action - running in a heat wave?? ❤️ Thanks for your support and feel free to beep if you’d like to donate retrospectively! 🚂 I’m on my way to Cambridge, heading back to my roots to run in the Race for Life on Sunday! 🌞 Running in hot hot weather in honour of special family and friends, some in memory and great sadness, others in gratitude and others with every good wish for a mighty journey through treatment. 🕊️

Riding the wave of vibrant seasonal energy as Spring tips into early summer is a magical time, but it can also be a challenge to stay balanced and make time to pause, rest and reset! I’m noticing myself bursting with emotion of one kind or another, and needing pit stops of restorative stillness to get my energy and good vibes flowing well again…

As you already know, I find yoga nidra (like acupuncture) to be magical for rebalancing mind, body and spirit!✨ In a few days it’s my pleasure to be offering an evening of yoga nidra alongside Eleanor Chapman of Healing Light Reiki, who is bringing healing sounds, especially the drum and singing bowls. It’s going to be magical, and followed by home made snacks and time to reflect and relax together.

🏃‍♀️ Thrilled to be part of crukraceforlife in Falmouth last Sunday, and very surprised and happy to come in first woman and fourth overall! Crikey. Happier still to raise funds for cancer research’s groundbreaking work in the ongoing effort to detect cancer earlier and improve outcomes among the 50% of us who will be diagnosed with it in our lifetimes.

💫 This year I’m especially inspired by my brave and beautiful friend Jo, whose journey through cancer treatment has taken some unexpected and hard going turns… I’ll be running again in her honour on 29th June, this time in the Cambridge Race for Life.

Can I beat my PB for the 5K while sticking to my one run a week routine? I mean, Cambridge is pretty flat compared to Cornwall. 🙊 Can I raise a TON of money for CRUK? Watch this space!

🌊🐋 Stunned by this film. A dazzling, heartbreaking and tantalisingly realistic beacon of hope for our oceans, climate and future, from the utterly magnificent 🐬

Thank you davidattenborough for seeing so clearly, speaking so truthfully and keeping the fire of hope burning so brightly that it might just ignite our world - and its leaders - into Doing the Right Thing at last. May the UN Summit in June agree unanimously to protect at least 30% of our magical oceans and end destructive fishing practices worldwide, saving our seas for the life they contain and the life they provide to us and our children.

So great to see that Ocean is showing at The Poly in Falmouth soon! I’d go again, if that wouldn’t mean stealing a seat from someone else who needs to receive it more. Could this someone be you?

Mystic poet Kahlil Gibran writes, “is not time even as love is, undivided and space less? But if in your thought you must measure time into seasons, let each season encircle all the other seasons”…

Recently I was staggered by the majesty of a Lord Howe Fig tree (in Tenerife); so very solid, sacred and yet almost fluid in its presence. Back here in Cornwall we are surrounded by bursting blues, greens and pinks and have just as much need to feel such solidity. The grounding that comes from the Earth, so palpable when we think of massive trees, rooted deeply.

🪷 This Sunday 4th May we will restore our batteries and sense of grounding amid the bursting vibes of Spring!

🪷 Join us at 6pm at The Zed Shed to explore three restorative yoga poses and rest into the magic of yoga nidra, with tasty treats and meditation cards to ponder afterwards if you wish! ✨
