Today was the Christmas party, filled with festive cheer and laughter. Everyone enjoyed the excitement of the raffle and the celebration was made even more special by Lindsey’s wonderful singing, which brought the holiday spirit to life.

Remember remember the 5th of November, this week we held a family quiz on Guy Fawkes, we arranged for everyone to enjoy a nice tasty treat from Soothills bakery. We would like to thank all the family members who attended, it was a lovely afternoon.

Once again, the Carleen family have come together for our annual fireworks display, we really do appreciate everyone taking time to come and join in, we would like to thank Pete for his time this evening setting off the fireworks display, everyone enjoyed the evening with hot chocolate and mince pies.

Today we had the pleasure of Jeff and his dog Ben. Jeff and Ben come to us on a bus from Southsea, this is a pure act of kindness and dedication from Jeff and we are so grateful to him.
Stroking animals, such as cats and dogs, releases endorphins, having a calming effect and therefore reducing stress levels. This is especially beneficial for patients that suffer from dementia or anxiety. Such patients can become stressed and frustrated when they are unable to communicate with people or are unable to express their ideas or feelings but spending time with animals allows patients to bond with them without relying on any language. Pet therapy has also been proven to help children overcome emotional disorders and overcome speech problems.
