Apical corns are painful, hard patches of skin that form on the tip of the toes from pressure and rubbing in shoes. With regular treatment, they can be made much more comfortable. I can also offer some simple solutions to offload the area to prevent the corn returning 👣

Before & After 👣
A patient I treated yesterday for a painful ingrown toenail caused by abnormal nail growth. Treatment has brought immediate relief, they’re now more comfortable and able to wear their new shoes! 🥿😁

I’ve had a fantastic first full week back at the clinic, with lots of happy clients, it’s been lovely to see familiar faces again! 👣💙
I’m also pleased to say that my autoclave has been fully serviced for another year by Excel Healthcare. A big thank you to their engineer Ash, who was excellent as always, keeping everything running safely and smoothly.

With temperatures forecasted to drop across the UK over the next few days, it’s important to make sure that we’re looking out for our loved ones living with dementia.

Winter can be a particularly difficult time for somebody living with dementia. The bad weather and colder temperatures can bring specific challenges, and can sometimes make symptoms temporarily worse.

They may not always be able to communicate that they are cold – or they might not even recognise it themselves.

Perception issues can also make it difficult for someone with dementia to see icy patches on a pavement or understand that a surface may be extra slippery.

So make sure to check in regularly on loved ones, friends and neighbours living with dementia, and follow our useful tips to help support them through the winter.
