Fareham-Based Female-Centred Massage Therapist 💆‍♀️

Are you struggling with:

Constant lower back stiffness?

Plantar foot pain that makes walking a chore?

Limited neck movement and constant headaches?

Shoulder pain every time you lift your arm above your head?

Remedial Massage can help!

I'm a holistic therapist, meaning I treat you, the person in front of me, not just your painful symptoms (though we'll certainly address those!). I consider what might be causing your discomfort, as aches and pains are often an accumulation of lifestyle, stress, activity, and even the food you eat.

Along with an initial movement screen, I'll provide tailored treatment and follow-up exercises to support your well-being outside the treatment room.

As I’ve turned the big 4.0! I’ve noticed my fellow millennials are starting to ask questions about Perimenopause and what they need to know to support their bodies for this next decade.

Regardless of life stage. Lifting weights is great for all ages. But if you have not yet started my fellow 80’s babies. This is a calling to learn the skill and start moving your bodies. You don’t need to start lifting super heavy weights straight off the bat. If you are new to the weights room then it’s about learning how to move and how your body feels. You will see progress pretty quickly.

Biggest stumbling block I see for new clients. Is doing way too much volume too soon. Eg how much you lift, how many reps, how many sets. Being really sore is not the goal.

Think minimal dose response, and building on from there.

If you head over to today you will see a wonderfully strong member doing the same workout. We are lifting different loads, both of which are right for our bodies.

If you are loving the Avril Lavine song. Then it’s probably a sign to start strength training.

If you don’t know where to start, or feel overwhelmed. Drop me a message 💜🏋️‍♀️

Are you navigating Perimenopause or Menopause and struggling with aches, pains, or just needing some time for YOU?

Hi everyone, I'm Kim! I'm a Level 5 certified Soft Tissue Therapist with 18 years of experience in fitness and Pilates. I specialize in providing holistic support specifically for women going through perimenopause and menopause.

Reduce inflammation

Provide valuable time out for rest and relaxation

Offer targeted relief for those specific aches and pains

Beyond the treatment table, I also offer guidance and support on how you can best look after your body and overall wellbeing during this time. It's about empowering you to feel your best!

Great news! I'm opening more treatment slots at my Fareham base.

🌟Soft Tissue Therapy Appointments Available 🌟

After a very busy transitional period at my work place. I am delighted to now be able to provide Soft Tissue Therapy Appointments again.

Soft Tissue Therapy is similar to massage as it is a manual therapy and a number of the techniques are similar. However, Soft Tissue Therapy is a targeted approach based upon your needs. Pressure is applied to be effective for you rather than being excruciatingly painful but equally some individuals like a firmer treatment.

If you are struggling with a tight neck, niggly shoulder, achey lower back or niggling knee. A Soft Tissue Treatment can help. Along with this I am able to use all my fitness knowledge to help get you back up & running.

Treatments are available from my work place Elevation Training Club based in Farlington or my treatment space in Fareham.

The times above are for my treatment space in Farlington but if you need a time drop me a message and I can book you in.

It's fantastic to see menopause finally getting the attention it deserves! The open discussions about its wide-ranging impact, especially on relationships, are so important. But this also highlights a key challenge: many women don't fully understand menopause, its various stages, or the full spectrum of symptoms. How can we effectively communicate our needs to partners, family, or even doctors if we're not entirely sure what's happening within our own bodies? This underscores the urgent need for better education about women's health, not just about menopause, but throughout our lives. Knowledge is power, and when women understand their bodies, they are better equipped to navigate these changes and advocate for their well-being. Let's keep the conversation going and push for better access to information and resources!

As Dr Samantha Wild, BUPA Health Clinics’ women’s health clinical lead, says: “For many years we’ve just been told that menopause is all about hot flushes and maybe night sweats, whereas oestrogen affects every single body function so women can experience the multitude of physical symptoms a...

World Menopause Day 🌍

Today marks world menopause day. An important day to continue to raise awareness around a topic that has been taboo for so long. Women are now asking questions and advocating for their health which is amazing! But their is still work to be done.

After celebrating the big 40 last week, I know many 80s babies will start thinking about this topic but also their long term health & possible changes they may start to see.

I can’t emphasise enough how much good you can do for your long term health but also management of Perimenopausal symptoms if you act now with looking after your health & wellbeing. On average women start to notice symptoms around age 43. So things you can do:

🏋️‍♀️ Start lifting weights, or learn!
🏃‍♂️Start doing plyometrics, jump! hop! skip!
😌Balance exhaustive exercise, still do HIIT but not too much.
🍍look at your diet - aim for 30grams of dietary fibre & eat protein with every meal (natural food if possible)
🙏 stress management - learn to regulate yourself. This often means learning to say no & give yourself space.
💤 Get your rest in - sleep can change as we age but we can do a lot with habits which often links with external stress.

Life certainly gets busier as we age with more responsibilities and demands but the priority for self care becomes greater & ultimately health is wealth.

I shan’t profess to be perfect, the above list is a constant challenge and work in progress, some days are better than others. But now moving into the 40’s it’s important to start trying harder because my effort will impact my overall wellbeing

I shall continue to help with content but I recommend learning how to lift weights, join a gym, or hire a coach for accountability and learn the skills now so you will be ready to tackle the next stage.

October is Menopause Awareness Month and while I am glad to see menopause getting a chance to be in the spotlight, there is still so much work to be done when it comes to the narrative and cultural awareness around menopause.

For example, mainstream menopause advice is misleading active women. Fasting, keto, low carb, all zone 2 all the time…those rules are not for us.

It’s been two years since my menopause training book, Next Level, came out and three years since we started working on it. Though it’s nearly impossible to believe at this point, just three or four years ago, menopause wasn't a mainstream topic of conversation. But once Oprah and other high-profile women started talking about it–and businesses recognized that menopausal women were a massive demographic (read: potential profit center!), the conversation exploded, and menopause information is literally everywhere.

Sadly, so is misinformation, especially for active women who, because we are a minority (barely a quarter of adults over 18 meet the minimum physical activity guidelines for both aerobic and muscle-strengthening activity). That’s how I end up seeing so many midlife women with low energy availability because they've been told menopausal women need to cut carbs and fast. So, let’s talk about some of the mainstream advice that does not apply to active women (and really, often doesn’t apply to any women).
