Corona Virus protection

Many workers, like me unable to self-isolate or attempt effective social distancing is going to be demanding.

So you may want to look at what I do on top of regular hand washing….

Sterilizing surfaces, hands, nose, throat and gullet

Sterilize surfaces

Surface Disinfectant – Diluted bleach solution (2 spoons bleach minimum per pint. Mixture degrades so replace every few days.

Sterilize hands

Home made sanitizer -
Mix Isopropyl Alcohol/surgical spirit x 2/3 with Aloe vera gel and distilled water x 1/3 (emollient) with a few drops of essential oil to smell good. Apply hand cream after application.

Sterilize the nose

Nasal Spray -

Rhinobronic Viral or Betadine nasal spray – Containing Carragelose -
Forms a protective layer on the surface of the nasal lining. Binds/traps the viruses,
hindering their spread and multiplication. Viruses are eliminated naturally through the nasal mucus.

Sterilize the throat -

Gargle salt water - Dissolve half a teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm water – warm water helps salt dissolve. Gargle with the solution

This is the best one (After work)!....

Sterilize the gullet –

A nip of Stroh 80 Original Rum – 80% strength!!

Helping to get through a Virus period…

I am going to give you more recommendations that can be incorporated in a typical day. Many won’t have the time, inclination or financial budget, but any practised will be beneficial:

Don’t spend too much of your valuable time by following the latest Corona virus News, the online stat counters recording the updated stats covering virus cases, deaths by country, and whether the virus is getting closer to where you are. Don’t worry about the present fluctuations in all the stock markets.

Spend time doing and fine tuning at least some of the following:

Sleeping well
Washing hands regularly goes without saying!
If you want you can easily make your own sanitiser .. Mix Isopropyl Alcohol/surgical spirit x 2/3 with Aloe vera gel x 1/3 (emollient) with a few drops of essential oil to smell good. Just need some 50ml or 100ml plastic bottles and a small funnel.
Only buy your usual toilet roll quota.(If you get the virus only 1 in 10 will need excess toilet roll)
Stock up on your usual medications and some nutritional essentials to see you through.
Take Vitamin C, B12 cod liver oil
Drinking more water
Not self isolating – Go outside and get some fresh air. Whether it be your back yard, the local park, woods or maybe near the sea or a river walk if your lucky enough.
Make an effort to exercise and stimulate your mind. (Loads of ideas there depending on one’s character and interests)
Keep a reasonable distance from others but be courteous. Obviously don't shake hands or touch each other.

Smile and think positive

If you can afford it consider buying…

ACO2AMV1 Vax air purifier Which best buy (or equivalent) - Brilliant at removing pollutants to keep your airways and lungs clear down to 0.3 microns. The virus is 0.125 microns so it won’t filter those critters out, but will help you have clearer lungs in readiness!!

Buy a gelomuc respiratory device or equivalent

Buy a home oxygen concentrator.

If you are unlucky enough to contract the virus consider the following…

Keep your rest room humid
Open the window
Humidify the room with bowls of water and a cool mist humidifier.
Use a cup steam inhaler. Add essential oils, These are the best: Mix a drop of Ginger, Cinnamon, Tea tree, Lavender, Eucalyptus, Rosemary and Peppermint with half a cup of boiled water. This option is great if you can't get your hands on Paracetamol, Ibuprofen and aspirin.

More to come soon.. :0) Eyes, Nose, Mouth, Mind, Lungs protect.

Corona Virus big tips!...

Let's not focus all our efforts and money getting things in to help prevent/delay catching the virus. Let's get things in to manage it, if and when it arrives. Plan for the worse, hope for the best!

Don'ts:

Do not buy or stockpile:
Face masks (ffp3)
Expensive hand Sanitizer
gloves
Goggles
nasal sprays
Air purifiers
Excess toilet paper
Excess bleach and disinfectants
Cough sweets

Do’s:

Buy

Ibuprofen
Paracetamol
Aspirin
Berocca tablets
Your own personal medications
Heat pads
Tissues
Rehydration tablets
Cool Mist Humidifier
Gelomuc respiratory therapy device or equivalent

Oxygen concentrator (portable) – Filters out most of the 79% Nitrogen in the air and delivers circa 95% pure oxygen. This is a worth while investment (around £200) if you know or care for an
elderly person. As well as significantly helping people to breathe it
aids sleep, alertness and general wellbeing.

Would also be a good idea to put together all the essentials in one easily accessible place as well as having a virus grab bag.

I will add some more recommendations soon
