Just to update you.

Janet, the owner and clinical education lead, is stepping down from paramedic skill required events and any practical skill training. This is because she has now moved across to Urgent Care as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner and is no longer working within the frontline paramedic field.

She is however, remaining as clinical education lead, but will be supported by Steve, and other trainers, as needed, who will be undertaking all practical skill training from now onwards. However, she will remain active in non-skill related and in particular any academic based training and education.

Steve has already been active in this role and is not a new face to those undertaking refresher or requalification training in recent years. He will be the primary trainer for all practical subjects and skills.

We are looking for an experienced IQA for AET, CET, CAVA and IQA training courses. (Preferably Qualsafe registered)

We are also looking for an experienced tutor in those subjects, on an adhoc (freelance) basis for where an all inclusive day rate will be paid via invoice.

Stay safe in this heatwave folks.

To help prevent heat exhaustion or heatstroke:

drink plenty of cold drinks, especially when exercising

take cool baths or showers

wear light-coloured, loose clothing

sprinkle water over skin or clothes

avoid the sun between 11am and 3pm

avoid excess alcohol

avoid extreme exercise

This will also prevent dehydration and help your body keep itself cool.

Today, Alpha-Med supported an Army Cadet Force detachment by providing an EFAW course to 9 Army Cadets from Sholing.

We are proud to have had the opportunity to provide this course to such well mannered youths and to give them some transferable and industry recognised skills.

Another busy day at our Hampshire training centre. This time it was a course for six people from two businesses local to us, but you don’t have to be local to benefit from our training services. Our team of trainers are happy to travel anywhere in the UK to deliver courses at your location.
