Today we celebrated Mother’s Day with a beautiful Afternoon Tea for our wonderful residents and their families. 💐

Our Dining Room was filled with laughter, love and plenty of treats as everyone came together to celebrate the amazing mums and mother figures in our community. We enjoyed a delicious afternoon of tea, bubbles, and a selection of homemade cakes that I had the pleasure of baking for the occasion.

It was so lovely to see so many families joining us and spending special time together with their loved ones. Moments like these are what make our community so special.

Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the afternoon such a joyful celebration. 💕

One of our lovely residents was absolutely chuffed with his new fake tattoo this week! 😊 At the heart of what we do is making sure our residents can enjoy the things they love. Whatever brings a smile to their face, we always do our best to support it 🥰

A lovely birthday surprise today! 🎂🎉

While one of our wonderful residents was enjoying a trip to the hairdressers, our activities team prepared a homemade birthday cake and gathered everyone together to sing Happy Birthday ready for her return. It was such a special moment and she looked absolutely beautiful after her pampering.

Moments like this remind us how important it is to celebrate each other. Our activities team are hoping to start creating personalised birthday cakes for all of our residents so everyone can enjoy their own special celebration throughout the year 💖

✨ Lantern Festival Celebration ✨

This afternoon, our residents enjoyed a creative Lantern Festival activity, making their own colourful lanterns using cardboard and tissue paper. It was a lovely, relaxed session filled with creativity, conversation, and smiles as everyone added their own personal touch to their designs.

The Lantern Festival is a traditional celebration that marks the end of Lunar New Year festivities in many Asian cultures. Lanterns symbolise hope, good fortune, and new beginnings, bringing people together to celebrate light and community.

This month we’re proud to be raising money for Marie Curie 💛

This morning was spent getting creative together, making beautiful craft daffodils — a small symbol with a powerful meaning. Every daffodil represents the care, support and compassion Marie Curie provides to people living with terminal illness and their families.

We’re looking forward to sharing more fundraising moments throughout the month and supporting such an incredible cause.

Yesterday was a slightly quieter day, as everyone was fully immersed in watching the inspiring events from the winter Olympic Games 🏅

It’s been wonderful to see so much focus, admiration and conversation sparked by the incredible athletes on screen. There were plenty of cheers, discussions about favourite events, and shared moments throughout the day.

We also enjoyed a lovely lunch together with lots of socialising, laughter and great company around the table. Sometimes the best days are the simple ones – good food, great conversations and shared experiences 💛

Love was truly in the air today ❤️🌹

For Valentine’s Day, we surprised every one of our wonderful residents with a fresh rose, a box of chocolates, and a personally handwritten card — because everyone deserves to feel special and celebrated.

We ended the day with beautiful ballroom dancing, laughter, and so many heartwarming moments. The smiles on their faces said it all… absolutely priceless.

Days like today remind us why we do what we do. 💕

❤️ Valentine’s Day Fun ❤️

On Thursday, we got into the Valentine’s spirit by decorating cupcakes together! I baked the cupcakes, and our lovely residents helped pipe the icing before choosing their toppings — colourful sprinkles or a delicious chocolate-covered strawberry 🍓🧁

We made sure everyone could take part by preparing puréed cakes in ramekins, so residents on a purée diet were able to join in with the decorating too.

We started in the lounge and then moved room to room around the home to make sure everyone had a chance to get involved. It was such a lovely afternoon filled with smiles, creativity, and sweet treats! 💕

What a wonderful Morning we had on Tuesday 🎶✨

We were treated to a fantastic live performance by Charlotte Millichamp and our residents absolutely loved singing along, clapping, and enjoying the atmosphere. Music really does bring everyone together 💛
