🎨 Home Ed Art Class – Portsmouth. Register your interest!

I’m thinking about starting a weekly art class for home-educated children aged 8–14 in Portsmouth and wanted to see if there might be some interest.

The sessions would likely run on Friday afternoons, lasting 1.5 hours, with a different painting or creative project each week. Over time we may explore other art techniques too - things like printmaking, mixed media and sculpture.

A little about me: I’m a former primary school teacher (10+ years) and now run Craft & Canvas Creative Workshops, delivering art sessions for adults, schools and community groups.

NEW EVENTS coming to Idlewild Café & Bookshop in early 2026 …

I’ve set up 3 special bookable events to kick off the new year at Idlewild Café, which I hope will appeal to you and will be the start of a calendar of extra events at the café :

VEGANUARY - a support group for the month to help those taking on the Veganuary challenge, with a launch evening (Weds 7 Jan), weekly meet-ups, 10% off all food & drink at the café for the month, and a £5 voucher to use against one of our books during the challenge. �

VEGAN MEET-UP - an evening event on Sat 17 Jan for local vegans to get together, catch up with old friends and make new ones, over a shared meal.�

AFTERNOON TEA - a delicious plant-based & gluten-free afternoon tea at the café on Saturday 7 February.

All of these events are by pre-booked ticket only, to allow me to prepare the food and the space & make for memorable times.
