Take a moment wherever you are to stop & look around to see the beauty of our world 🤍
Despite humans trying to alter it! Nature is constantly renewing, regrowing & realigning. 💚
Take a moment to breathe deep & renew (reset your thoughts), regrow (ground/root yourself in the now) & realign. Then carry on with your day 🩵

Small daily habits will build to change but it can seem so hard to keep motivated during the cold dark days of January.
So when you’re lacking willpower remember this.
The Gregorian calendar was invented 1582 (previously the Roman Janus calendar) before then the year began on March 25th. (Makes more sense).

The earths real new year has always been spring when light returns, it starts to get warmer & we physically see new life starting to grow. Life doesn’t rebirth in January.

So if you’re finding it hard, be patient don’t give up, still practice & try to make small changes every day as you are stepping towards spring. Then it will suddenly seem easier to build on the work you have done. You’ll feel more inspired & maybe already planning new/ more healthy habits to be proud of.

👋Hello, I’m Katherine!
My page began when I was teaching Pilates and Yoga, sharing class updates and short videos online.
I had my own studio, Tides, at Fareham Marina. In 2024, I sold the marina and the studio space, which gave me the opportunity to reflect on everything I’ve learned over the years.
Now, I’m passionate about sharing the best wellness tools I’ve gathered—covering nutrition, yoga, pilates, weights, self-care, meditation, journaling, breath-work, juicing, and manifesting. I believe in daily practices that nurture both body and mind.
Outside of wellness, I love travelling, sea swimming, paddle boarding, cooking, being creative, and having fun. I’m married, and our dog Poppy often features in my photos.
✨Life is an adventure, and I hope to inspire you to embark on your own adventures while taking care of yourself.✨

The easiest tip for better health 💦 drink more water 💦 Some find it easy others struggle or simply forget and drink tea, coffee, fizzy drinks but not plain readily available, free, water.
💧You may have to make it a habit.
💧Set a goal to drink at least 3 glasses a day.
💧Once you start to rehydrate yourself you’ll notice little changes.
💧When fully hydrated you may notice you feel less hunger pangs, more energy, better skin, clearer mind.

If you have 5 minutes today, take some time to write down your dreams, hopes and future goals. Today 8th August (8/8) is the peak of the Lions Gate Portal when Sirius the brightest star in our skies is aligned with the sun in Leo and earth. The number 8 represents growth and transformation. So it’s a perfect time to think about your future aspirations and journaling is such a good practice. It helps to clarify your thoughts, by physically writing down your dreams and desires rather than them spinning around in your head you can help to manifest them into reality.
Our world is a magical place, enjoy the cosmic energy of the Lions Gate Portal. It’s here until 12th August, allow yourself some time to reflect, release unwanted habits, set new intentions, draw on this energy to craft new realities ✨

What makes a habit a healthy habit?
They create positive ripple effects.
➕➕➕
Healthy habits tend to support other positive behaviors. 🛌 When you get better sleep, you might find it easier to make good food choices.
💦 When you stay hydrated, you might have more energy for exercise.
🏃‍♀️ These positive connections help create a foundation for overall wellbeing.

What makes a healthy habit?
It's sustainable

A healthy habit should be something you can maintain over time without causing harm or burnout.
🏃‍♀️Extreme behaviors, even if they seem healthy at first, often aren't sustainable and therefore don't qualify as truly healthy habits.
🏃🏽‍♂️For example, committing to walk 10 minutes daily is more sustainable than promising yourself you'll run a marathon every month.

Looking After Your Body!

I have been teaching mat based Pilates classes for over 10 years and still enjoy the interaction I have with my students each week. I own Tides Studio based at Fareham Marina - I teach yoga as well! This year I am hoping to expand the studio to have other teacher join me and provide a full weekly class schedule. At the moment of course we’re still all working from home. Have a look at one of my classes and get into the habit of exercising for an hour at least once a week and start Looking After Your Body!
