Welcome new followers!

To my new followers, hello, I am Emma Chinner πŸ‘‹

Founder of South Coast First Aid, a training company that offers a variety of Accredited and Non-Accredited Courses, from Paediatric First Aid, to Mental Health, Safeguarding, Oxygen Therapy & Anaphylaxis Training, to Manual Handling, Basic Life Support & Defibrillation, as well as many more courses like Trauma Care & Catastrophic Haemorrhage.

My passion for delivering high quality training, especially paediatric care, came from my daughter choking on a grape at the age of two years. Her airway was completely blocked and she was unable to breathe for nearly two minutes. This is every parent's worst nightmare. It was definitely mine. This event caused me to seek out first aid training, and to start my own first aid training business, with a central ethos of empowering people to take action and make a real difference in a real medical emergency.

My mantra is π˜Ώπ™€π™žπ™£π™œ π™¨π™€π™’π™šπ™©π™π™žπ™£π™œ π™žπ™¨ π™—π™šπ™©π™©π™šπ™§ 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 π™™π™€π™žπ™£π™œ π™£π™€π™©π™π™žπ™£π™œ!

As an Ofsted rated outstanding teacher, I pride myself on delivering training of a consistently high standard, with an energetic and enthusiastic approach to learning, while ensuring my courses are personal, unique and engaging for learners of all abilities.

I would like to thank my fabulous group of helpers who came out in the cold, bright sunshine to help me yesterday, delivering Random Acts of Kindness to everyone within our path!

The sun shone down on us all as we navigated the stunning walk along Hillhead beach, towards Lee on Solent.

As always, the reaction from people can not be explained in enough detail to highlight the need to bring a little joy in January. How can 65 little bunches of flowers make such a big difference!?

But it did!

My Mum said to me yesterday, if we dropped Β£4 into someone's hand and said, have a wonderful day, it just wouldn't have the same impact as walking along, with 15 helpers, to brighten your day with flowers.

It isn't that hard to make the smallest of gestures, and adding a little skip in someones step for the day. So, I hope the next time you go to buy your coffee, or bread at the shop, and you buy someone else's coffee for them, or pint of milk for them to take home, I would like you to bask in the feeling of Kindness that encapsulated your soul and feel the joyfullness that fills you up completely 😊

There is a local business to me who I would like to give thanks to, and introduce you to as well. They have supported me personally, as well as professionally as my business has grown. Last weekend, before having to cancel our first flower 🌼 date, I had a card placed through my door by Haven Holistic Therapy with some money inside to purchase some flowers and support my cause. Sarah Reay thank you for your goodness to see all the things that grow around you, your beautiful heart that also beats for our community, and your own stunning act of kindness ❀️

If we met you yesterday and made you feel one brief moment of joy, it was worth all of our time, money and planning that went into bringing some Joy to January!

My beautiful Dad gifted us with the bluest of skies and glorious sunshine to carry on our acts of kindness 🌞

If I can leave you with one other tip today, on this rainy Sunday, it's be kind to those around you. You have no idea what is going on in people's lives, so don't be too quick to shout at someone as they are slow to reverse their car, or to be able to pay for their shopping, please remember, there is only one human race on planet Earth, so while we walk among each other, be kind. ❀️

Happy Friday Everyone!! πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’

Well, I've been checking the weather forecast all day today, and thankfully my old pups must be looking down our way, as this morning's forecast of rain for Saturday has moved aside, and sunshine 🌞 is well and truly on the menu for us!!

So, with my house looking like a beautifully flowery shop, we are on for Random Acts of Kindness in the morning!

I'll message you all my address. Please find somewhere around the corner to park, and walk round to the house, where warm croissants and coffee await you πŸ’πŸ‘ŒπŸ™Œ

I'll look forward to seeing you all in the morning! ❀️❀️❀️

πŸ’*** Urgent Update for tomorrow *** πŸ’

I am deeply saddened to say that I am going to have to postpone tomorrow's flower deliveries to next Saturday instead, where we will team up with the other group and go in convoy.

I feel incredibly unwell sadly, and have tonsillitis, which for the first time in over 10 years means, I have completely lost my voice too! I am off to the GP for some antibiotics and I will hopefully be able to talk again by next week.

Although, my husband and children are thrilled, as you can imagine! πŸ˜‰

The Random Acts of Kindness that was set up over 5 years ago with my old pups, will still go ahead next weekend. I would not cancel tomorrow unless I felt truly unwell. It means too much to me, so I am very sorry if this has messed around with your plans.

I cannot apologise enough to those who offered to give their time so freely to this cause tomorrow. If you are free next Saturday, please let me know as I would be delighted to see you. πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Stay warm this weekend everyone. Much love, Emma ❀

***Flower Deliveries Saturday 18th Jan*** πŸ’πŸ’

Please could you message me privately and send me your mobile number, if I don't have it already, so I will be able to put you into a Whatsapp group, where I will share my address.

If we can all arrive around 10am for warm coffee and tea with a hot croissant first, then a plan of action will be put in place, as we leave together in convoy to our destination.

If parking is challenging, please park around the bend in my road.
I have the following helpers arriving this Saturday 18th Jan at 10am.

* Lorraine & Esme
* James L
* Lou S
* Fran CS
* Michelle S

I am immensely grateful for the support everyone, thank you! Looking forward to seeing you all this Saturday. ❀

P.S. for those who don't know, this is my usually beautifully fluffy springer spaniel, Barley! 🐾🐾🐾

As we approach another end of the year on planet Earth, I always think, should I do Random Acts of Kindness again without my Dad.

The answer was no right up until today. It's too painful without him here, and I wondered if I should/could do this again.

I was listening to Coldplay on the radio in my kitchen this morning, playing 'You have all my love'. I have been sent some videos of Chris Martin and Dick Van D**e being interviewed for this song release recently. Dick Van D**e reminds me so much of my own lovely Dad, so I think I needed to see this today.

Have you seen it? Have a look!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSeaHfkd3M8

The video is all about him, and how he has loved his career choices and living in the wonderous world of entertainment for decades, but more importantly, it's about how he has loved his family - for the last 99 years that he has graced our beautiful planet.

I looked out of my kitchen window, and up at the stunning crystal clear blue sky, watching as the sun was kissing the top of the trees in our road, on this cold December morning, and asked, Dad, what would you do?

He came back to me so quickly! He said, what's holding you back Ems!

I could just sit here and just miss him. Terribly. All day. But what a wasted opportunity to miss interacting with people who might need lifting through January.

He taught me better than that!

Ems, if you have a little more than the others around you, give back. Always give back!

So, with this in mind, would anyone like to join me on Saturday 18th or, Saturday 25th January to deliver some Random Acts of Kindness to our community?

We will run it a little differently this year if you would like to come and help me. A start time of 10am until 1pm, from my house in Fareham. Where warm croissants and pain au chocolat will be waiting for you, along with a hot coffee and tea. We will go in force together in two to three cars, and deliver brightness, joy and the warmth of our love to those who might need lifting up and reminding that they were worth it all along. ❀

Who's with me? (I may cry, just a heads up, so if no-one replies to this post, I could be delivering 70 bunches on my own......) πŸ˜†

Merry Christmas to all of my lovely followers on my page. I hope this festive period fills you with friends and family surrounding you, with Christmas food and good company. πŸ€ΆπŸŽ„πŸŽπŸŽ‰πŸ’šπŸ€ŽπŸ’š

I had the pleasure of training the wonderful people at New Haven Model Railway Club in October.

They decided that as a very large club, with a variety of ages, it was necessary to have a defibrillator in their club, just in case of an emergency.

I supplied and fitted a HeartSine 350P Semi-Automatic Defibrillator, with preparation kit, and signage, as well as a book and certificates for all who attended the session.

We set up a two-hour Basic Life Support Course to train half the club members in how to use it, as well as practicing on my lovely 'Bob' manikins and training defibrillators to give everyone the confidence and skills needed should an incident occur.

The session was a real hit!

Everyone came and gave CPR a go, and understood that pad placement of a defibrillator on a casualty's chest was extremely important.

I love receiving reviews like this! Thank you, Newhaven District Model Railway Club.

Lifesaving training!! The Newhaven and District Model Railway club invested in its own Defibrillator provided by South Coast First Aid and we also engaged Emma to provide us with the necessary training. We had 15 members trained that day, which was first class, and everybody came away feeling that they had learned a great deal about the use of a defibrillator, as well as having the confidence to use it. Emma is a superb trainer and we highly recommend this service, thank you very much Emma from the NDMRC (newhavendmrc.com)
