I need to apologise to everyone!

My videos are normally upbeat and positive.

Today is not one of those videos.

Hopefully, it won't take much to understand why I am so upset and angry.

If you need First Aid Training, it's not hard to find good training providers. There are a few good ones around.

We have been approved supplies for Hampshire County Council for a few years. We have been delivering a range of courses for them, from Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Food Safety, Manual Handling, Paediatric First Aid, Adult Emergency Care and now Mental Health has been added in too.

Since January 2026, the need for these types of courses have been incredible. By making the training interactive and producing engaging content, it not only keeps everyone actively involved with the training but makes them the centre of their own learning journey.

Groups from a few different councils recently produced some excellent posters to cover a range of Mental health conditions. Not only did they all pass the courses taught, but they are all now officially First Aid for Mental Health Officers.

Random Acts of Kindness 2026 - thank you! πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’

There were more people offering their time and support this year than ever before. It felt overwhelming how people could see what I was trying to achieve and that they wanted to come and help.

I nearly stopped βœ‹οΈ this beautiful creation that came from supporting my dear old Dad who had dementia. He left us and flew up to heaven, and I felt truly alone doing this without him. I wasn't sure if it was just done now. Yet, December crept in and someone who had never attended before asked if it was going ahead again, as they would like to join. She changed my mind. Thank you Jayne! I nearly walked away.

Such raw emotion can be captured when you inject yourself, even if only temporarily, into someone's world to gift them something as small as a bunch of flowers πŸ’ It was noted by us all, even the children, that struggle, overwhelm and low mood were apparent and so clear to see when we offered our gifts to those who past us.

We all carry a backpack on our backs that are full of sadness, grief and stress, yet we managed to shine some golden streams of light and joy onto the faces of those who were in need of a little distraction. A tiny gesture of kindness to remind people to keep pushing through, know that they are still seen, but mostly, in a world that feels debilitating and crushing at the moment, that beauty, brightness 🌞 and kindness can be found, if just you remember to look.

Thank you to my helpers. I wouldn't and couldn't do this without you. Thank you to my sister-in-law Jo, your beautiful card and money towards flowers were such a thoughtful thing to do, and lastly, thank you to Kevin, from Stubbington Fruit Basket, for supplying 70 bunches of flowers πŸ’ and understanding the intention behind the gesture and discounting every bunch. That my fabulous followers, it what kindness is all about!

See you next year everyone. πŸ’

Thank you for the sunshine 🌞 Dad ❀️

Wishing you all a Happy New Year πŸŽ‰

Having some time off over the festive period has allowed a moment to pause and simply reflect on making it through another long year. We have our ups and our downs, which can both feel incredibly overwhelming and joyous. It's important to embrace the wonderous joy as well as coping with the bad times, so you can make room for how you want to navigate the year ahead and set yourself some small challenges to keep your mind and body balanced as one, stood firmly with your feet upon the ground.

I'm thankful for everything that 2025 has given me, and it reminds me that while the last year has been good to me, I need to return that goodness to others in my community, as my incredibly kind Dad would have wanted.

Random Acts of Kindness started because of my Dad, being diagnosed with dementia. Both of my parents taught me how to give back and lift those on darkened days. He would be disappointed if we stopped our good work now.

Are you free to help me again this year and spread some joy in January?

Saturday 31st January, from 1pm until 3pm, we will be delivering Random Acts of Kindness to local people, and reminding them that light and hope are still here in our world to be seen and that dark days can be lifted with a little bit of kindness.

When communities come together, we are truly unstoppable! Thank you everyone for your support last year, my little business is still going.

I would like to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas, from my house, to yours. πŸŽ„ 🀢 🎁🎊❀️

It's been a wonderful year this year, full of beautiful people, heartbreaking stories and more people than ever trained in Basic Life Support.

From Kim and I teaching Safeguarding to charities, to Karyn delivering Advanced First Aid across Hampshire and now moving into Dental Emergency Care in the New Year, together we have been fortunate enough to embed ourselves in so many lives.

The best news for the business this year is our new recruit, Abi. Some say she looks like me, some say she sounds like me, and some say she going to punch her way into medicine to save more lives than I could only dream of in my lifetime. Ambitions to become a nurse is her pathway onto greatness. If you have completed any of my first aid courses before, you will know my story of why I started this company in the first place, because this sweet, perfect little face sitting next to me nearly died at the age two, because of a complete obstruction in her airway. I had never completed any paediatric first aid when I had her, and I came incredibly close to losing her.

My heart constricts just thinking about it πŸ’”

Abi has been attending various different courses with me this year, to help deliver the same message as me to anyone who will listen, and that is 'Doing Something Is Better Than Doing Nothing!'

I'm incredibly proud to have her teaching alongside me, stood next to me, standing tall, helping me deliver these courses. One Mum, huge smile, and feeling overwhelming proud.

Yesterday, we did our annual delivery of minced pies and chocolate biscuits to A&E to say thank you to the staff in the adult and paediatric wards for their services over Christmas πŸŽ„ While we sit comfortably at home today, our public services, carers and emergency staff will be covering our communities as we fill ourselves with good food, Christmas gifts and friends and family.

Let's all hope next year is as productive and powerful as this year.

Best wishes to you over the holidays. Stay safe, be good and enjoy celebrating together ❀️

It is INCREDIBLE just how many people need first aid assitance at any given time.

Siezures, falls, cuts, burns, choking, traffic collisions, suddenly becoming unresponsive - the list is HUGE and the possibilites are endless.

In this video you will hear some EPIC stories about my recent first aid students saving lives just DAYS after their training course.

Would you know what to do if you found someone who was unresponsive? Or started having a siezure? My first aiders do.

Don't wait until its too late! Book me for your workplace first aid training today.
You can email, call, text or leave a voicemail. I'll get right back to you. Emma. X

Welcome new followers!

To my new followers, hello, I am Emma Chinner πŸ‘‹

Founder of South Coast First Aid, a training company that offers a variety of Accredited and Non-Accredited Courses, from Paediatric First Aid, to Mental Health, Safeguarding, Oxygen Therapy & Anaphylaxis Training, to Manual Handling, Basic Life Support & Defibrillation, as well as many more courses like Trauma Care & Catastrophic Haemorrhage.

My passion for delivering high quality training, especially paediatric care, came from my daughter choking on a grape at the age of two years. Her airway was completely blocked and she was unable to breathe for nearly two minutes. This is every parent's worst nightmare. It was definitely mine. This event caused me to seek out first aid training, and to start my own first aid training business, with a central ethos of empowering people to take action and make a real difference in a real medical emergency.

My mantra is π˜Ώπ™€π™žπ™£π™œ π™¨π™€π™’π™šπ™©π™π™žπ™£π™œ π™žπ™¨ π™—π™šπ™©π™©π™šπ™§ 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 π™™π™€π™žπ™£π™œ π™£π™€π™©π™π™žπ™£π™œ!

As an Ofsted rated outstanding teacher, I pride myself on delivering training of a consistently high standard, with an energetic and enthusiastic approach to learning, while ensuring my courses are personal, unique and engaging for learners of all abilities.

To book a course, please get in touch. I would love to hear from you!
