What an amazing day we have had. We were lucky enough to manage two trips with Myley today. Morning trip to the rose revived to watch life on the river, feeding the ducks and watching the boats, canoers & paddle boarders, ohh & Julie giving us a paddle boarding demonstration. Afternoon spent in the local pub garden having a drink, a natter & watching the world go by. Thank you to all staff & relatives for helping us to make this possible. Big thank you to Sarah our Myley chauffeur, she always brings us the hugest smiles & lots of laughter.

We have had a busy week. We had the pleasure of Caden joining us, Caden is a year 10 pupil at Faringdon Community College and came to us for a weeks work experience. Caden has made some lovely friendships with our residents, especially with Paul & Frank & they are now named the 3 wise monkeys 🙈. We have played badminton, parachute ball control and as the weather has been hot, some water target games, where residents, staff and relatives all had fun. We finished the week with a burns gym session. Thank you Caden for being part of our team this week & we look forward to seeing you soon when you come back to visit us.

Celebrating the first week of Wimbledon, strawberries & cream, chair tennis & pimms. It was so lovely to have relatives join us with our activities this week & to learn about those who played tennis for the county & those that have experienced watching tennis at Wimbledon.

A brilliant performance from Tickled Pink…. We’ll Meet Again. A beautiful 2nd world war story, engaging songs, an experience that our lovely residents could relate to & also join in with. We all had a great time.

Last orders at the bar please… world bee day yesterday, to help the bees we made them a Bee Bar in our garden, a quaint, quiet watering hole for the bees to rest their wings & enjoy some refreshments, ok so it’s some sticks with bottle tops stuck to them filled with water but if we were bees we would come here 🐝🐝🐝

Our lovely lifestyle assistant Julie always tells us about her horses, her parents farm, the sheep & baby lambs, so we thought what’s this all about, let’s go for a visit. Julie & her parents were the best hosts, they showed us around the farm, we met the horses & our friend Puk. We fed the sheep & the lambs, walked across the fields, Paul & Mark went for a ride with Julie’s dad & then we enjoyed the warm sun with tea & cake. A trip across the road to the fox and hounds for a spot of lunch & a pint, all finished with a ride up to white horse hill to look at the views, we are so lucky to live in the heart of these beautiful surroundings & we definitely ticked all the boxes today for nurturing our mind, body & soul.
Thank you Julie & your parents, we will be back. Thank you to the Fox & hounds for our lunch & refreshments. Thank you to our myley bus driver Sarah, amazing as always & thank you to our residents who always make our trips so heartwarming with their appreciation & gratitude. 🐴🐑🏞️🍺🍰🍽️🍨🏞️🌞

We’ve been to Hollywood…… bowl. An amazing morning bowling and gambling, with a pint chucked in for good measure. The gents were so excited they forgot about the ramps for the bowls. The smiles on their faces say it all. Thank you to Sarah our driver, you always add a little sparkle to our outings.
