Recently, I’ve been supporting one of my wonderful doula clients who is currently healing and unable to babywear during her postpartum recovery. So I offered to pop little one in my carrier (which I happen to keep in the car) whilst we all got out for a quick walk around the block. ☀️

Sometimes the little things - like avoiding the hassle of the pushchair - can make a big difference. This is what postpartum support looks like: practical help, gentle care, and meeting families exactly where they’re at. 🌿👣

Lately, that word has been sitting with me in the best way.

Some of the families I’ve supported recently have brought such warmth, softness, and sincerity to their postnatal journey. Being welcomed into that intimate, beautiful bubble of new life and gentle chaos has reminded me why I love this work so deeply.

It’s the quiet moments, the shared laughter, the trust, and the tiny milestones - all adding up to something truly wholesome.

Thank you for letting me walk alongside you. It means more than you know. 🤍

The universe said not now, and I had to listen. 🤲🏼

I missed the chance to witness a birth with the lovely which I’d been holding space for, as well as having to reschedule postnatal support I was so ready to give. My plans and its timing didn’t align this time - and that’s okay. 💫

Even in the pause, the calling is still there. Trusting that what’s meant for me in this work will return in its own right moment. 🫶🏼

✨ Being a doula means more than supporting birthing or postpartum mothers - it’s about embracing the whole family. Whether it’s calming a curious toddler, sharing a giggle with the family dog, or creating space for every loved one; I’m there for it all. 💛⁣

These little in between moments are just as important as the big ones.

Unfortunately, my Baby Massage Workshop for Dads scheduled for this Saturday (12th April) is cancelled.

However, there is a new date! 🗓️✨ The workshop will now be rescheduled for Saturday 14th June. Just before Father’s Day!

Recently I’ve really been embracing more of mine and my daughter’s natural term feeding journey - honouring the bond, trust, and comfort that comes with every moment. 💕

Natural term breastfeeding is more than just nourishment - it’s comfort, connection, and a safe space. Every child’s journey is unique, and we honour the beauty in following their lead, allowing them to wean when they’re ready. It’s about trusting the process, trusting our bodies, and trusting our babies. 👶🏼👦🏼👧🏼

At this years annual conference, was a speaker on this topic and I resonated with a lot of what she said. It made me think differently on how to approach this subject with parents, friends as well as family members.

Let’s continue normalising breastfeeding beyond infancy and supporting parents in making the choices that are best for them and their little ones.
