We popped along to the lovely Forget Me Not Cafe in Hartley Wintney at St Johns Church this afternoon, this is a open cafe offering a free social safe space for people living with Dementia including their family, carers and their friends.
It runs every Tuesday afternoon 2.00pm-4.00pm where you can enjoy a free cuppa and cake, they have a couple of tables dedicated to arts/craft activities - today they were enjoying doing still life painting of flowers and diamond art on another table, plus many jigsaws, board games etc. that people can help themselves to, and if their feeling active there's also a snooker table and table tennis. Lovely space for all to enjoy and socialize with one another. 💚

Live-in care supports more than just the person receiving care. It can bring real reassurance to the whole family. 💜

When someone you love needs more support, it’s natural to worry.
Are they eating well?
Are they safe at home?
Are they feeling lonely?
Will someone be there when they need help?

For many families, live-in care means your loved one can stay in familiar surroundings, with the right support.

If you’d like to find out more about live-in care, call our team on 01252 758 716.

Not everyone starts out looking for a career in care.

Sometimes you’re just looking for work that feels more meaningful, more flexible, and to feel more appreciated.

That’s how Angie’s journey began.

While working as a Care Professional with Home Instead, Angie supported Pat, who was partially sighted. Pat had always made homemade marmalade for her husband David, but as her eyesight declined she felt she could no longer do it.

Angie had never made marmalade before — so she asked Pat to teach her.

Together they worked through the process, relying on Pat’s incredible muscle memory and experience. By the end of the afternoon they had made eight jars of marmalade.

When David tasted Pat’s marmalade again, he was over the moon. And Pat felt proud knowing she could still do something she loved.

That’s what great care can do — bring back someone's confidence, help them find the joy again.

Five years later, Angie is now our Team Trainer, helping new Care Professionals begin their own journeys with the skills, confidence, and support they need.

If you’re looking for work that feels different, create’s day’s to be proud of and regularly rewards that kind heart you walk around with.

Care should never feel rushed.

That’s why our visits are always a minimum of one hour.

Real care is about more than simply getting through a list of tasks. It’s about having the time to sit and talk, to build trust, to notice the little things, and to make each visit feel calm, personal and supportive.

Whether it’s help around the home, companionship, or support with everyday routines, that extra time allows care to feel more thoughtful and far more human.

If you’re starting to think about care for yourself or someone close to you, our team is here to talk things through. Call us on 01252 758716 💚

Sometimes, what someone needs most is simply company 💚

A friendly face, a trip to the local shops, a walk in the fresh air, or a conversation over a cup of tea can make all the difference.

Our companionship visits are shaped around each person and the things they enjoy most. For some, that means getting out of the house and staying active. For others, it is about having someone there to spend time with, talk to, and share the day with.

That connection can make a real difference to wellbeing, confidence, and independence ✨
