We’re now into the final week of our Easter Egg Appeal, and collections for The Vine Centre, Aldershot will soon be wrapping up.

If you’d like to contribute, please drop your Easter eggs at our Home Instead Farnborough office on Alexandra Road in North Camp before the appeal closes.

Home Instead have been delivering 'Singing for the Brain' sessions at one of our Independent Living Schemes for the last six months. The sessions are fun and engaging and always lift the spirits of our residents. This helps reduce feelings of isolation and has become part of their routine. The sessions are also open to members of the public thus encouraging a strong sense of community. Such a good variety of songs across the decades mean that there is something for everybody including special requests :). It is particularly wholesome to see how memory connections brighten their day.
The staff have all been brilliant and are tuned in to the dynamics of independent living. It feels like they are an extension of our team and we appreciate the relationship. I would add that as there is an emphasis on fun and not skill which makes access and participation easy for those who are not as confident.

We’re launching our new WOW Guide (What’s On Where), highlighting classes, groups, and things to do locally for older people across Farnborough, Farnham, Fleet and the surrounding areas.

Today we’re celebrating the love, warmth and care that mothers and mother figures bring to our lives. 💕

Mother’s Day is a chance to pause and appreciate the mums, grandmothers and maternal figures who have supported, guided and cared for us over the years.

We’re thinking especially of the wonderful mothers in our community today — and the many who continue to give so much love and care to those around them.

Today is Young Carers Action Day – a day to recognise the incredible young people who help care for family members, often balancing school, friendships and responsibilities beyond their years.

We want to acknowledge the strength, compassion and dedication of young carers in our community. No young person should feel alone in their caring role, and it’s important they know support is available.
