Our lovely resident Cynthia has been feeling a little down recently after sadly losing her much-loved budgie Billy, who had been by her side for 7 wonderful years 💔

Seeing how much Cynthia was missing her feathered friend, Linda went out of her way to surprise her with a new little companion, Benji.

Cynthia is over the moon, and it has been truly heart-warming to see her smile again as she welcomes Benji into her life. 🥰

✈️ Phillip mentioned he used to enjoy making model aeroplanes, so Phillip and Dwane, our brilliant Activities Coordinator, spent some quality time together building an Airfix model of a Red Arrows Hawk.

As they worked, they chatted about all the air shows Phillip had visited over the years, sharing memories and stories along the way.

We had a wonderful time celebrating Burns Night!

Our tea trolley was transformed into 'The Flying Scotsman' proudly adorned with the Scottish flag and emblems honouring Robbie Burns, Scotland’s much-loved poet.

Residents enjoyed a traditional Burns Night treat of haggis with neeps and tatties, a lovely way to celebrate Scottish heritage together.

We are truly touched by the beautiful words shared by the family of the late Mary, thanking Ingrid for the kindness, love, and dignity she showed throughout Mary’s care.

🐰Special moments with our furry friends 🐰

Our residents enjoyed some lovely one-to-one time today with our Red Rose rabbits, Rhubarb and Custard. These gentle cuddles brought big smiles and plenty of calm, happy moments.

Animals in care homes offer so many benefits from reducing anxiety and loneliness to encouraging communication, emotional wellbeing, and a sense of comfort and companionship.

Rhubarb and Custard certainly brighten our days.

A rainy day didnt stop the smiles today! Our residents enjoyed a cosy afternoon playing games on the Tiny Tablet.
Alongside this we challenged ourselves with irregular-shaped jigsaw puzzles 🧩 definitely taxing our minds, but thoroughly enjoyable and very satisfying once completed.

Activities like these support:
✔️Cognitive stimulation
✔️Concentration and problem solving
✔️A sense of achievement

Proof that even the rainiest days can be filled with fun, focus, and laughter.
