Spring Week 🌷🪻23rd March - 29th March

We’re celebrating the joy of spring with a wonderful range of seasonal activities! Our creativity will be in full bloom with Easter bonnet making, Easter crafts, and relaxing flower arranging sessions. In the kitchen, we’ll be baking delicious soda bread together and participating in our regular Chef's Table!

Social moments will be just as special, with elegant afternoon teas, cheerful tea parties, and our ever-popular cheese and wine trolley, as well as our always amazing live entertainment!

This week at Farnham Mill, we celebrated Nutrition and Hydration Week with a lovely Global Tea Party on Wednesday! 🌍☕

Across all four of our homes, residents and staff came together to enjoy delicious refreshments while highlighting the importance of nutrition and staying hydrated.

At Farnham Mill, we made the most of both our cosy indoor spaces and our beautiful garden, sharing laughter, fresh air, and great company.

A wonderful reminder that wellbeing can be both nourishing and joyful 💚

We made hydration fun and engaging, encouraging everyone to keep their fluids up while enjoying a variety of refreshing drinks together.

The residents at Woodlands enjoyed a lovely morning of flower arranging together 🌸💐

There was plenty of creativity, laughter, and beautiful blooms as everyone got involved. Activities like this are a wonderful way to relax, socialise, and express creativity and the results were simply stunning!

Last week, we celebrated all the wonderful mothers in our home for Mother’s Day. We enjoyed a range of lovely activities, reminiscing about cherished memories of motherhood, and we treated our residents to thoughtful Mother’s Day gifts. On Sunday, we also put on a beautiful selection of treats, which were thoroughly enjoyed by residents, friends, and family alike. 💐

We are now heading to Ireland to continue the celebrations for St Patrick’s Day! We can’t wait to show you all what we’ve been up to — there’s plenty of food and drink flowing, and we’re sure this week will be one to remember. 🍀

Irish Week – 16th–22nd March ☘️

We’re looking forward to a wonderful week of Irish-themed fun here across all the homes as we celebrate Irish Week with our residents! Activities will include cooking club treats, arts and crafts making shamrock decorations and bunting, games such as skittles, bingo and Irish quizzes, plus special events including a Big Irish Tea Party, live music and dancing. There will also be Irish coffee socials, music therapy, group physio, and plenty of sweet treat trolleys along the way. It’s set to be a fantastic week full of laughter, creativity and community spirit! ☘️💚

It’s been a lovely week at Farnham Mill! Residents enjoyed a sunny trip to the lake house with garden walks and a fantastic performance from Jen Marchand that had everyone on their feet. ☀️🎶

Throughout the week we also had a visit from Tinkerbell 🐾, got creative making magazine flower collages, and enjoyed a wonderful group music therapy session.

Last week at Hill House we celebrated Holi festival, and what a bright and colourful week it was! We had so much fun – from making a curry to “taking a trip to India ”, where we learnt lots of interesting facts and showed off our knowledge. We even had some brilliant dance moves during a lovely dance with live entertainment, and enjoyed diving into some tasty, colourful treats. 🌈✨

Our amazing team recently took part in some well deserved teambuilding events at the bowling alley. 🎳

It was a great chance for staff from across all four homes to have fun, connect and show their strong team spirit through friendly competition. Congratulations to our bowling champions!🏆

Supporting staff wellbeing is really important to us. When our team feels valued and supported, it helps us to continue delivering the compassionate care our residents deserve. We're already looking forward to our next staff appreciation event!

What a fantastic week we’ve had at Woodlands celebrating Holi Week! 🌈

We started the week by taking part in the charity quiz at Hillhouse, followed by a lovely trip out to Starbucks Café. As always, we began our mornings together with the newspaper and chair exercises to get everyone moving and ready for the day.

Throughout the week we enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea in the garden, fun parachute games, dominoes, skittles, and even some cooking where we made a colourful rainbow cake! Residents also had great fun creating tie-dye hankies to celebrate the vibrant colours of Holi.

We also held our residents’ meeting with Alison, where residents had the opportunity to give out a few staff Sunflower Awards to say thank you to the team. 🌻

It’s been a week full of laughter, colour, friendship and wonderful memories. Thank you to everyone who helped make it so special!
