It’s been a spook-tacular week at Farnham Mill as we celebrated Halloween in style! Our residents and their families joined in for lots of creative Halloween arts and crafts, filling the home with festive fun and laughter.

We also enjoyed a lovely trip out to The Princess Royal Pub, where everyone shared good food, great company, and plenty of smiles. To top it all off, we had a heartwarming visit from our pet therapy friend Tinkerbell, who brought so much joy and comfort to everyone she met.

It’s been a week full of Halloween spirit, creativity, and community — a truly memorable time for all! 👻🧡🎨🐾

We had a wonderful evening at Farnham Mill last night, where residents and their families from Woodlands, Hill-House and HillBrow joined us for a fun-filled Quiz Night. The event was a great success, featuring delicious savoury and sweet dishes, refreshing drinks, and an exciting raffle — all in support of Family’s Supporting Care.

The atmosphere was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and a strong sense of community as everyone came together to raise funds for a meaningful cause.

A heartfelt thank you to all who attended, contributed, and helped make the evening so enjoyable and memorable. Your support is truly appreciated.

It’s been another wonderful week here at Woodlands, filled with a variety of engaging and creative activities for our residents.

This week included:
A delightful trip to the Wyvern, residents enjoyed some friendly table tennis matches. Fun-filled bat and balloon games and a few quizzes to keep minds active and spirits high.
🔥 The creation of our very own Guy Fawkes figure, ready for firework Night celebrations.
⛪ A peaceful visit from our vistors from our local church, which everyone greatly appreciated.
💐 A lovely flower arranging session, showcasing our residents’ creativity and flair.
And finally, some baking, as we began preparations for our Christmascale

We recently celebrated a very special birthday here at Farnham Mill with one of our residents and her loved ones — a truly heartwarming day filled with smiles, laughter and togetherness. The celebrations continued with a lovely trip out to Starbucks, where everyone enjoyed delicious treats, drinks, and some good old-fashioned people watching! With Halloween just around the corner, we’re all ready and excited to welcome families and children for some trick-or-treat fun. And with yesterday’s beautiful weather, many of our residents made the most of it out in our lovely garden, soaking up the sunshine and fresh autumn air. ☕🎃🌞

What a treat! Our Bake Off Week brought together residents from Farnham Mill, Woodlands, Hill Brow and Hill House for an afternoon full of fun, friendship and fantastic bakes. With our General Manager Laura leading/showcasing the baked goods, Hill House rose to the top as this year’s Bake Off champion! Thank you for hosting and sharing such a wonderful afternoon of tea, laughter and cake. 🍰🏆

Last week at Hill House was Bake Off Week, and here's a little glimpse of what we got up to! There was plenty of baking, creating, and laughter, and in the end, we all enjoyed each other's company while sharing old memories. Two highlights were definitely our Bake Off competition (which we’re pleased to say we won!) and, of course, spending time with our lovely Tilly the pony. All in all, it was a jam-packed, wonderful week, and now we're diving into our new themed week – Movie and Theatre Week! Can’t wait to show you what we’re getting up to next. 🎬🍿🐴

🌸 What a fantastic Bake Off week we had at Woodlands! 🧁

Last week was full of fun, laughter, and delicious smells! We enjoyed a lovely trip to the Lake House, had an uplifting visit from the wonderful Beth for physio, took peaceful garden walks, 👩‍🍳🍰

From cupcake baking and our “Guess the Baking Smell” game to making tasty momos, everyone got involved and had such a great time. 🥟💛

Hill Brow residents have had a delightful week in preparation for our ‘Bake off’ on Friday 17th at Hill House. Our residents practiced their royal icing piping at the start of the week. We had a beautiful afternoon at The Lakehouse where they tried out some delicious cakes. We have worked on our contribution to the competition while reminiscing about baking with Grandparent, parents and Grandchildren. We also had some delightful visitors who joined in with the activities

It’s been a delicious week here at Farnham Mill as we’ve been getting our pinnies on for Baking Week! Residents rolled up their sleeves to make scrumptious jam tarts and other homemade goodies — the sweet smells filled the home!

We also enjoyed a lovely outing for hot drinks and tasty treats, giving everyone a chance to relax, chat, and enjoy each other’s company.

To top it all off, the talented Nikki Lucas paid us a visit at the start of the week. Her wonderful performance had everyone up on their feet, singing and dancing along — such a joyful way to begin the week! 🎶💃
