We had a wonderful summer holiday week even if the sun didn’t shine every day, it certainly didn’t stop us from having fun! 🌦️😄

We enjoyed a lovely trip to Redfields, garden center had heartwarming visits from Tinkerbell and Otis the therapy dogs, and kept our minds active with word searches and fun games. 🐾🧩🧠

Most of all, we’ve loved spending time with our friends, family, and loved ones who came to visit. 💖

Thank you to everyone who made this week so special rain or shine, there’s always joy to be found here! 🌈✨

The week every student has been dreading, but for many parents a weight off their shoulders: Back to School week!

The activities this week will be themed around fun school activities, including some classics such as hopscotch.

We kicked off the week at Hillbrow with a bang!
From joyful flower arranging and relaxing physio sessions to uplifting music with our community choir—the fun didn’t stop there. We wrapped it all up with a lovely outing to the Pathfinder Café, sharing good food and great company. ☕

It’s been a wonderful few days here at Farnham Mill! Our residents have kept active with morning exercise, tested their knowledge with sports trivia, enjoyed a lovely trip to Squires Garden Centre, treated themselves to a delicious afternoon tea, and spent time soaking up the sunshine in our beautiful garden.

Last week at Hill House our residents tried their hands at a variety of sporty activities for international sport week. They enjoyed some snooker, American basketball, English football, Curling games, as well as our usual roster of experiences such as physiotherapy, cooking clubs, and tea parties. We had a blast!

Our residents had an amazing time celebrating International Sports Week last week From guessing famous sports personalities to getting active with competitive indoor skittles and chair volleyball, there was something for everyone. 🏐🎳

We also enjoyed a fun sports-themed wordsearch, got creative with flower arranging 💐, and wrapped up the week with a fantastic trip to The Wyvern Pub 🍻and being entertained by the lovely Terry Owen’s

Farnham Mill's Dementia Café:

Offering a relaxed environment where people can connect, share experiences, and find mutual support over a cup of tea and a slice of cake. Alongside social interaction, the café also provides informative talks, access to helpful resources, and professional guidance related to dementia care.

Farnhamill kicked off International Week in style with a delightful afternoon tea and sports quiz, garden games, a special managers’ afternoon tea, a trip to the Pathfinder Café, lots of fun on the sensory Omni interactive table, and of course, our much-loved cheese and wine trolley!

What a fun-filled week it's been at Hill Brow! From sipping mocktails in the sunshine to singing nursery rhymes with our special visitor, Patsy – she truly brightens our day! 🌻 We also enjoyed peaceful garden walks and shared some unforgettable train journey stories. Feeling so grateful for these wonderful moments together

All aboard at Hill House! Last week we enjoyed a trip like no other, with plenty of stop-offs for parties and food making, as well as time to relax and unwind on the journey. Our Hill House snacks trolley, along with an array of delicious cheese and wine, kept everyone happy throughout. All in all, everyone at Hill House had a wonderful time and felt quite sad to say goodbye to our train adventure, though we are now looking forward to what this week has in store – a celebration of international sports.

A huge congratulations and well done to our Anna and Gary, who ran the Richmond Ultra Marathon on Sunday 9th August - in just 5 hours which is incredible! And all for an amazing cause Families Supporting Care - a charity very close to our hearts.
