Another very busy and joyful week at Woodlands! We celebrated our Christmas party with a surprise visit from Father Christmas, which brought lots of smiles and festive cheer. The wonderful Steff sang beautifully for us, making the occasion even more special.

Residents also enjoyed a bus tour to see the festive lights, flower arranging with lovely fresh flowers, and fun games such as the parachute game.

We were especially touched by a visit from a resident’s relative, who kindly gifted everyone a beautiful knitted angel. The angels had also been taken to church to be blessed, and residents said how lovely it was to receive such a thoughtful and meaningful gift.

Farnham Mill residents enjoyed a wonderful Christmas lunch yesterday, full of festive vibes 🎄✨ Delicious food and drinks, with a lovely pianist providing beautiful background music while residents relaxed and enjoyed the atmosphere. The celebrations continued with a fantastic performance by Laura Sillet, where we sang along and danced, followed by a surprise visit from Santa himself, spreading joy and handing out gifts to everyone 🎅🎁.

Hill Brow residents have had an amazing week. Beautiful festive food, a visit from two very jolly Santas and lots of visitors and Christmas themed activities. We were able to visit with delightful penguins who were so well behaved. We had a wonderful entertainer who goes by the name ‘The Velvet Voice’ who sang a delightful mix of songs which were enjoyed by all.

🌍🎄 Last week, Hill House took a trip around the world to explore how Christmas is celebrated in different countries! From the Philippines, where we recreated a traditional Christmas lantern after seeing one in real life, to Germany and Switzerland where we got busy cooking and crafting gingerbread men and Swedish yarn goats.

We had such a wonderful time and there was so much packed into the week! We can’t wait to show you what we get up to this week as the Christmas festivities keep on coming ✨🎅

What a fantastic week we have had at Woodlands! We mixed, baked, and decorated our very own Yule log, which was thoroughly enjoyed with afternoon tea. We spent time playing games and enjoyed a trip to Starbucks for coffee.

We were delighted to be invited to the Lions Christmas Concert, where the children sang beautifully for us. We were also lucky to welcome children to Woodlands, who came along to sing and spread festive cheer.

On Thursday, we had a very special visit from Pringle and Widget the penguins. The joy and excitement on the residents’ faces said it all — it was a truly memorable experience for everyone.

To round off the week, we held our own carol service with the community choir, which was a lovely and uplifting way to celebrate the season.

What a wonderful week at Farnham Mill! ❤️ We were joined by the little ones from Tootsies Nursery who filled our home with laughter, dancing, and pure joy. Jayney had us all up on our feet singing and smiling, and our residents enjoyed decorating Yule logs before indulging in delicious treats from around the world — panettone, stollen, Yule log, and Christmas cake! We even squeezed in a lovely trip to Birdies Café for more goodies and great conversation. A week full of festive cheer and happy hearts ✨🎄
