Providing a range of expert services including, our comprehensive eye examination, a free full hearing test and ear wax removal, at Leightons Opticians & Hearing Care we believe in delivering heartfelt customer care, provided by our friendly and highly professional teams, using the latest technologies. The current premises on Downing Street is one of the longest-established shops in Farnham, having previously been a bookshop before Leightons moved into the building over 30 years ago.

🌟 Yesterday, the Wi******er team had the privilege of hosting a very special visit from The Mayor of Wi******er, Cllr Angela Clear, to mark a generous donation from the team to the Wi******er Samaritans, a cause that does vital work in the local community.🌟

Recently, Amanda Deveney, our resident audiologist at Leightons Wi******er, had been visited by one of her patients and Samaritans Listening Volunteer, Piers Armstrong. During their conversation, Piers, a current hearing aid wearer, shared the challenges faced by hard-of-hearing phone volunteers when taking calls.

Inspired by Piers' words, Amanda saw an opportunity to make a difference and with the team, arranged a donation of two Oticon Connect Clips and Phone Adaptors for the Wi******er Samaritans Branch. This kit would go assisting volunteers like Piers in speaking with vulnerable individuals.

So yesterday, Amanda was joined by Piers, Director of Wi******er Samaritans Wayne Fletcher, and The Mayor of Wi******er, to officially hand over the donations. Here's what Amanda had to say:

"Personally, this has meant a great deal to be able to do something so positive not only for a patient who does an amazing job in volunteering for such an important cause but to the wider organisation as well."
