The Buddhas teachings of the Skandas explain how we experience life. And when we truly comprehend this, life becomes lighter, more balanced & lived with greater presence.
1. Form - The body. Our physical sensations such as the quickening of your heart, an intake of breath or even the feeling of the sun on your skin.
2. Sensation - Every feeling has a tone, pleasant, unpleasant or neutral. Sensation is the subtle physical push or pull before thoughts come in. You often feel this in the gut.
3. Perception - The labelling function for what we experience such as happiness, pain, comfort etc. The mind recognises and categorises automatically.
4. Mental formations - Thoughts, reactions, habits, emotions, impulses. Most of these are habitual responses.
5. Consciousness – this shows up as seeing, hearing, thinking, feeling. It is the simple knowing of experience in a human capacity.
Break it down. Let go of a fixed self. Free yourself 🙏🏼✨⚡️
