Knowing how to layer your skincare can make a real difference in how well your products work. As a general rule, apply products from thinnest to thickest texture so each layer can absorb properly.
1. Cleanser: Start with a gentle cleanser to remove dirt, oil, and impurities without stripping the skin.
2. Serums: Use targeted treatments (like hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, or niacinamide) from thinnest to thickest texture.
3. Moisturiser: Lock everything in with a moisturiser to support the skin barrier and prevent moisture loss.
4. Sunscreen (AM only): Finish with a broad-spectrum SPF to protect your skin from UV damage—the most important step in any morning routine.
In the evening, especially if you have worn make-up during the day, we recommend:
Step one: double cleansing to ensure any pollution, make-up or dirt are removed
Step two: depending on your skin concerns, use more active treatment like a retinoid (that you introduce slowly) or exfoliating acids. We can advise the best option for your skin type.
Step three: seal in the goodness with a moisturiser
Top tip: Layer slowly, give each step a moment to absorb, and remember—consistency matters more than having a long routine.
