Flu cases on the rise

The number of flu patients in hospital nationally has hit a record high, with 50% more patients than the same time last year (approximately 1,700 patients at the end of November 2025).

We are still carrying out flu vaccinations at Crondall New Surgery - so if you are eligible, please contact us to book in for this. We will also be sending further messages to those who are eligible, with booking links in the coming days.

Our Fleet PCN GP surgeries will be closed on Tuesday 18th November from 12:30pm for protected learning time.

- For urgent medical enquiries, please call NHS 111.

We have been vaccinating this morning from 8am - going well and vaccinated many.

Please come down to Crondall New Surgery this morning if you’re eligible but don’t have an appointment, and would like to have your flu vaccine (and COVID-19 vaccine if eligible).

Please come down by 11.30am if you would like, or call on Monday to book in an appointment.

We will also be around next Saturday morning.

Know Your Numbers Week! (8th - 14th September 2025)

- Know Your Numbers! raises awareness of high blood pressure, encouraging all UK adults to get a blood pressure check.

- 1.5 million people have had a free blood pressure check during the annual Know Your Numbers! Week, the UK’s biggest blood pressure testing and awareness event

- An ideal blood pressure is under 120/80mmHg. Do you Know Your Numbers?

- 6 million people in the UK have high blood pressure and don’t know it.

- Every day in the UK, 350 people have a stroke or heart attack that could have been prevented.

We believe every adult in the UK should know their blood pressure numbers in the same way they know their height and weight. When you Know Your Numbers! you can take steps to look after your blood pressure and lead a long and healthy life.

We have a blood pressure machine in our waiting room that you can use to check your numbers. The machine will also give you a print out of your blood pressure reading, which will be useful for us to add to your records.
