As we head into the weekend, it’s a good time to slow down, check in with ourselves and notice how we’re really feeling. Life moves fast, and sometimes the smallest pause can make the biggest difference.

If supporting others is part of your role, or simply something that matters to you, understanding mental health and building confidence around those conversations can be truly empowering.

That’s why the upcoming Mental Health First Aid England 2-Day Course on 26th–27th November is such a valuable opportunity. Delivered by specialist trainer Paul Potts, it offers practical tools, deeper awareness and a supportive space to learn.

Take a moment for yourself this weekend… and if training like this feels right for you, all the details are ready when you are. 💚

🌹 Remembrance Sunday 2025 🌹

Today we pause to remember the fallen, the brave men and women who gave their lives so we could live ours in freedom.

At White Rose Training Yorkshire, we honour their courage, their sacrifice, and the enduring legacy of those who served and continue to serve.

‘For the Fallen’ – Laurence Binyon

With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children,
England mourns for her dead across the sea.
Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit,
Fallen in the cause of the free.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

We will remember them. ❤️

🎆 Stay safe this Bonfire Night! 🎇

Bonfire Night is always a highlight of the season, the fireworks, the food, the fun with family and friends. But it’s also one of the busiest times of year for burns and fire related injuries.

Here are a few quick first aid tips to keep everyone safe tonight:

🔥 Keep sparklers at arm’s length.
🧤 Wear gloves when handling sparklers, they protect your hands and reduce the risk of burns.
💧 Cool burns immediately under cool running water for at least 20 minutes never use creams or ointments.
👕 Remove jewellery or tight clothing near the burn, but don’t remove anything stuck to the skin.
🚑 If you’re ever in doubt, always seek medical help.

Having basic first aid knowledge gives you the confidence to act fast when it really matters 💚

At White Rose Training Yorkshire, we empower you with life saving skills and confidence 💚
