Dear Smoker, we know it's not just about the ni****ne. It's about the moment you step out for a break, the ritual of lighting up, and the sense of relief that follows. It's about how a cigarette feels in your hand when you're stressed, or how it accompanies your coffee every morning. You're not just fighting a chemical habit; you're challenging a deeply ingrained part of your daily life.

At Calmer Minds Hypnotherapy, we recognise that quitting smoking is more of a mental marathon than a chemical sprint. That's why our approach is different. We're here to guide you through the psychological journey, to understand and untangle the threads that have tied you to smoking.

You smoke to relieve stress, but what if you could achieve that calm without reaching for a cigarette? We'll explore alternative stress-relief techniques that align with your lifestyle, offering you a way to unwind without undoing your progress.

It's not just a craving, it's a habit. We'll help you identify the routines that trigger your urge to smoke and work with you to create new, healthier habits. Whether it's a morning walk instead of a morning smoke or a new way to take breaks at work, we're here to reimagine these moments with you.

Smoking can be a social activity, and the thought of losing this connection can be daunting. Let's find ways to maintain and even enhance these social bonds, without the need for a cigarette in hand.

For many, smoking is intertwined with personal history and emotions. Our sessions help you address these emotional ties and build resilience.

Quitting smoking is a deeply personal journey, and it's about more than just resisting physical cravings. It's about rewriting your story, understanding your needs, and finding strength in new, healthier habits.

Join us at Calmer Minds Hypnotherapy. Together, we'll step beyond the smoke and embrace a clearer, brighter future.

Ready to begin your journey? Your path to a smoke-free life starts here.

It is often yourself that prevents you from making the changes you would like to make. This is because your subconscious mind accounts for 90-95% of your brains processing power. So when you try to consciously change unwanted thoughts, feelings and behaviours, it can be difficult as the subconscious influence makes it easy to slip back into old habits.

Hypnotherapy changes that by working with the subconscious mind. By changing what the subconscious mind influences you to do, change becomes easy.

You can often tell when your conscious mind and subconscious mind are fighting against eachother, here are some examples:

Anxiety: You know (conscious) that there is no need to constantly worry about things, but you can't stop the repetitive negative thought loops (subconscious).

Smoking: You want (conscious) to stop smoking and know (conscious) that it is bad for you, but there is part of you (subconscious) that encourages you to continue and gives you the urge to smoke.

Weight loss: You would like to (conscious) lose weight but keep getting the urge to eat unhealthy foods (subconscious).

When it feels like you are battling against yourself, it is because you are but with hypnotherapy, your conscious and subconscious minds can start working together to achieve your desired goals.

🌬️💆‍♂️ Hey everyone, feeling a bit stressed out lately? I've got a simple technique to share with you that can work wonders for anxiety relief: Box Breathing! 📦🌬️

Box Breathing is a powerful breathing exercise that helps calm your mind and restore a sense of balance. It's a great tool to have in your self-care arsenal. Here's how you can do it:

1️⃣ Find a quiet and comfortable space where you won't be disturbed.
2️⃣ Sit up straight with your feet planted firmly on the ground or find a comfortable lying position.
3️⃣ Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose, counting to four slowly. Feel your abdomen expand as you inhale.
4️⃣ Hold your breath for a count of four, maintaining a sense of calmness.
5️⃣ Exhale slowly through your mouth, counting to four. Focus on releasing tension and stress as you breathe out.
6️⃣ Hold your breath again for a count of four. Allow yourself to feel a brief pause.
7️⃣ Repeat the cycle for a few minutes or as long as you need, keeping the inhalation, holding, exhalation, and pause each at a count of four.

Remember, the key to Box Breathing is to make the length of each phase equal. This even breathing pattern helps regulate your nervous system and promote relaxation. 🧘‍♀️🌟

Whenever you're feeling overwhelmed or anxious, take a moment to practice Box Breathing. It's a fantastic tool for bringing your mind and body into a state of calm. Give it a try and let me know how it works for you! Feel free to share this technique with your loved ones who may also benefit from it. 🤗💙
