“My nails haven’t grown much this time…”
If we had a pound for every time we hear this in winter, we’d be very busy indeed 😉
Slower nail growth during the colder months is completely normal. Reduced circulation, heavier footwear and lower activity levels all play a part.
However, winter is actually when routine foot care becomes even more important. Nails can still thicken, hard skin can build up, and problems often start quietly when feet are tucked away in socks and boots.
We’ve written a short blog explaining why toenails grow more slowly in winter and why staying on top of routine appointments really matters:

If you’re due your regular foot care appointment, now is a great time to keep things comfortable and prevent issues later on.
