⭐Congratulations to Debbie Woodhouse, recipient of No Place Like Home’s 3rd Rising Star Award!

⭐This annual award, created in loving memory of two very dear former colleagues lost to cancer, celebrates individuals like Debbie who have embraced and are confidently delivering our No Place Like Home vision of a later life well lived.

⭐ Debbie brings a wealth of experience from her previous work at Age UK and, coupled with her No Place Like Home dementia learning and development, is going from strength to strength in her new Personal Assistant role. Debbie has become a very much valued colleague and has received some superb feedback from our clients on the difference she is making to their lives. A big thank you and well done to Debbie!

🏆We are delighted to announce the recipient of this year’s No Place Like Home Leslie Fenn Wellbeing Award.

🏆This annual award was inspired by our founder’s mother, Leslie, who went above and beyond to help other people.

🏆 Huge congratulations to our Office Administration Coordinator, Catherine Ochs who has been an enormous support to our whole team during the ups and downs of this past year. Catherine is usually the first person you will talk to if you telephone or visit our office and she has received consistently lovely feedback on the welcome that she gives to everyone. Well done and thank you, Catherine!

Hello there!

11 years ago, I sent a message here to thank everyone for taking an interest and connecting with No Place Like Home. We launched our bespoke later life support service in the summer of 2013 and in the blink of an eye, it's been a year and a decade! Where does the time go?!

Over the years, we have supported over 300 clients to make the most of their later lives. Our many Client Testimonials speak for themselves - https://www.nplh.uk/client-testimonials-new.

Whereas we had only 8 Personal Assistants back in 2013, we now have a No Place Like Home team of 27, bringing sparkle and joy into later lives and especially those affected by dementia. We have also been recognised with over a dozen awards for our work and hold the highest 5* rating with Care Quality Commission.

The majority of our new clients (and colleagues) come via word-of-mouth recommendation from people who have experienced our service.

So this morning's message, at the start of this new year 2025 is to say Thank You again for continuing to follow and share the progress of our little service. I might be over a decade older than when I started this journey but (in memory of my parents' story https://www.nplh.uk/inspiration) I'm still as passionate about the difference we can make today.
