☎️ In March 2025 we moved to a new computer system and changed the way you order your prescriptions . This came with a few challenges but we are pleased to report after a year we have reduced calls into the practice by over 4700 per month on average . This means if you need to call us , you can get through to us a little quicker.

📨 We welcome your feedback on any of these matters and are looking to build a PPG ( patient participation group ) to discuss opportunities, challenges and solutions in which we, the Practice can support you and your loved ones.

If you would like to find out more about joining this group please email
Practice.manager.z00603@gp.hscni.net

🤝Thank you for your support during these changes we believe it has made a difference .

There is a particulary virulent strain of a sickness and diarroah infection in the area. It’s important you look after yourself and your loved ones whilst protecting the vulnerable as much as possible .

You don’t normally need to see your GP if you have diarrhoea or vomiting or both as it should get better on its own.

Visiting your GP surgery can put others at risk. It's best to call your GP or GP out of hours service if you're concerned or feel you need advice.

While the symptoms can be alarming for parents/carers, it is important to note that:

For children:

🔸diarrhoea usually lasts five to seven days, and in most children it stops within two weeks
🔸vomiting, usually lasts one or two days, and in most children it stops within three days

For adults:

🔸diarrhoea lasting for up to 10 days is not unusual
🔸vomiting usually lasts for two days

Please refer to the following website for further information on when to contact medical help if you are suffering with this bug

Diarrhoea and vomiting are common in adults, children and babies. You can have them together or on their own. They're usually caused by a stomach bug and should pass in a few days. Get medical help if you are concerned about you or your child’s symptoms.
