As a fertility acupuncturist, I’m so fortunate to do work that truly changes lives. Over the years, I’ve had the absolute honour of supporting many couples and individuals through their fertility journeys, sharing in their hopes, challenges, and, thankfully, so many beautiful outcomes.

You may have noticed that I don’t share positive pregnancy tests or announcements here. While many wonderful and experienced fertility acupuncturists do, and I completely understand why; for me, it’s just not something I choose to post.

The world of fertility and IVF can be deeply emotional and, at times, incredibly tough. I’ve seen firsthand how heartbreaking it can feel to see or hear someone else’s positive news, sometimes only hours or days after receiving difficult results yourself.

While I am always beyond thrilled when I hear that all our hard work has come to fruition, I choose not to share those moments publicly. My intention is to keep this space one of compassion, intimacy, and understanding; no matter where someone may be on their journey.

To all those still hoping, still trying, still showing up with courage each day, I see you. You’re not alone. 🌿🖤

My sister and I are training hard to raise money for Lighthouse Women’s Aid, a charity that provides vital support to women and children affected by domestic abuse.

It’s tough, but nothing compared to what so many brave families face every day.

Every step we take is for those who need a path to a brighter future.

I’ve done a lot of work within my home environment over the last few years surrounding knowing my worth, having strong boundaries and backing myself. It’s now time for these values to leak into my business and how it works for me and my family.

There is only so long you can run a business on just a good heart, intuition and passion- and as much as those things are, and always will be the core values of my business, after some market research and number crunching it seems I am seriously underselling myself and my expertise.

So I am finally (after almost 4 years in business haha) putting my big girl business pants on and making some proactive changes to protect my business and its future. In 2025 I will be raising my prices to align with what others are charging and my level of skills and training in comparison. This is without mentioning the rise in minimum wage and cost of living which is also taken into account.

I’ve always been brilliant at my work and not so great at the business side of things ie socials, selling myself, boundaries etc - always working on that! But let’s be real - we cant all be everything and I will always advocate for that! Feedback I receive is people like that I don’t pretend to be a ‘we’ business, that it’s just me, my craft, my phone and my kids, (now a husband too🥰) and there’s an apparent charm to the fact that I’m absolutely useless with phones and socials and I get my children to do bits for me 🤣 still unsure if people just say this to make me feel better about it!?

You may see some changes in the way I operate, but it’s mostly background business runnings, my treatments and services remain the same. A huge thank you to those whom I’ve taken advice off- a few close friends, clients and business friends. I really appreciate your knowledge and value your input.

Keep an eye out for the new prices on the booking system, it won’t be a huge amount but each treatment will be going up as of 1st Jan 2025. And thank you once again for keeping me so busy and supporting me and my family ✨🌿

Tis’ the season ✨🎄

Thankfully cancellations and no shows isn’t something that’s ever really hugely affected me; however it’s something I’ve certainly noticed now I’m a lot more pushed for time.

It’s that time of year where we have to tighten our belts, little ones get poorly, we get the sniffles.

Whilst I understand things do come up, I’m far too nice (standard) and this is starting to hugely affect my income.

Please remember there are 3 little ones relying on me, my outgoings on the clinic remain the same even if you don’t show which sometimes leaves me at a loss.

Ive had some advice from some fellow business folk and have done some number crunching so need to change a few things in the way my business works for me and my family.

In light of this I need to be super strict with my cancellations and no show policy. If your booking is cancelled within 48 hours of your appointment, respectfully I will ask for 50% of your appointment value.

Until this amount is paid I cannot rebook another appointment for you. This is a no tolerance policy (I am writing this so i stick to it haha) and does also apply to friends, family and regulars.

So blessed to be part of this wonderful event.

Huge thank you to Mr Sage, my sister and brother in law for supporting me and my little business last night and always.

A few have asked, no I didn’t win an award - BLADE won in my category which was much deserved and I actually voted for them myself 😅 they have a wonderful team and an abundance of equipment to cut hair of adults and children with additional needs- just wish they were closer coz I could do with that for jenson haha

I did however come 5th in the public vote out of ALL the finalists in Suffolk (which was around 100). This has completely blown my mind especially as it’s just me, most of these companies had lots of employees. I am so so grateful for everybody that voted for me and sees how much I put into my work, day and night and everything in between.

Running a small business and a family isn’t easy and I certainly have my set backs with it, it’s every day of every week, countless hours behind the scenes, never seeing friends and fam. It really is a huge lift to know people recognise that and to be even considered. A huge thank you again to Mr Sage and my sister for picking up the pieces every time it all gets too much and my little ones for cheering me on and giving me the strength and drive to get back up and keep going again and again.

Thank you everyone that voted. Thank you to every client and follower that supports me, helps me put food on the table and helps keep me going. Many have become friends.

My beautiful business that I’ve worked so hard to build, establish and grow has been voted into the Suffolk Small Business Awards. Much to my surprise i was actually voted as a finalist because of some of the lovely comments left by clients. This now means I am in the FINAL! And am attending an awards evening on 11th may where the winner will be announced. 🌿🌿🌿

I now have to gather AS MANY votes as possible. This counts for a HUGE 25% of my final score so this really is massive for me and my family and every vote counts, I’m up against some great businesses!
