Yesterday we had the honour and privilege to carry out the funeral of a popular and long serving fireman.

Many thanks to the Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue service for attending the funeral of one their own with a Fire Engine and a very moving guard of honour.

Tracey McGuigan

Tracey passed away suddenly in hospital on February 16th aged 63 years surrounded by her loving family.

A beloved partner of the late Ian, loving mam of Nikki, Linzi, Rebbecca and Rachel and a devoted nana of Carter, Kevin, Sophie, Charlotte and Grace.
Also a dearest sister of Brian, Ray, and Carole and a well known and popular friend to all who knew her.

Would family and friends please meet for funeral service at Saltwell Crematorium on Tuesday March 3rd at 12.00 noon.
Family flowers only please donations in lieu to the caring staff of the Critical Care Ward at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Anne (Nee Hindmarsh) passed away peacefully on February 14th aged 82 years surrounded by her loving family.

A beloved wife of Bob, loving mam of Chris and Kate, devoted grannie of Joseph, Matt and Sam and a very good friend to all who knew her.

Would family and friends please meet for requiem mass at the Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church Lobley Hill on Thursday February 26th at 11.45 am followed by cremation at Saltwell Crematorium at 1.00pm.

This week we had the honour and privilege to carry out the funeral of a well known and popular local man in Washington, a former member of the distinguished Durham Light Infantry.
Many thanks to North East Carriages for the magnificent Fresian horses and carriage and to the DLI for the standard bearers and the very moving last post from bugler Gerry Christie.

John passed away suddenly on January 28th aged 74 years.
A beloved husband of the late Marilyn, loving dad of David and Paul, dear father in law of Denise and a devoted grandad of Katie,
Maximilian and Sophie.

Also a dearest brother of Pauline, Patrick, Robert, Maria, Michael and Shauna and a very good friend to all who knew him.

Secretary of Scotswood Homing Society.

Mac passed away peacefully in hospital on January 27th aged 80 years surrounded by his loving family.

A beloved husband of Norma, loving son of the late Fred and Jean, dearest brother of the late Kathy, a much loved brother in law, uncle and great uncle.

Mac was a well known and respected pigeon fancier in the North East for many years and was a good friend to all who knew him.
