Loved teaching natural pigment paint making at The Craft Cafe focussing on the structure and colour of winter plants found along the river Coquet. I then took stuff home and the whole family got involved ✨We used charcoal, sandstone and clay. The Craft Cafe runs ever other month now, usually on a Friday evening and I also run workshops from my home studio

Feel privileged to have been able to collaborate with me Dad over the last year to create ‘Crow’. It has been a really interesting journey and a lovely creative way to spend time together, often going for walks and talks in Northumberland.
I have loved focussing on the gritty, magical Crow and the story follows a search for treasure through the Northumbrian landscape. We’re getting a first hundred copies soon, so let us know if you’d like one, we initially said £10 but have now changed it to £12 to cover costs. The book has about 36 pages in total, illustrations, a simple story line for little ones and poetic verse opposite ✨🖤

Just finished this Turmeric Kimono commission today and posted it off to Ireland, love how the curved hem works with this 💛✨🌞Natural dyes do change and fade over time but they can be easily re-dyed! So I am providing a re-dying service to refresh colours.

Making clothing is a good reminder of the time, skill and materials involved in the process and it is crazy that we can buy clothing as cheap as
we can…Even more of an excuse to treasure hunt round charity shops 💛

Kimono commission with silk noil, dyed with turmeric, using pebbles from the river for sunburst effect 💛Good to get the sewing machine and overlocker out (also the only time I use an iron too 🤣)
