We are a professional Podiatry/Chiropody clinic situated in West Parley, focusing on providing the highest standard of care.

Young’s Foot Clinic is a new company founded in 2021 by Podiatrist Zoe Young. My vision was always to have my own clinic where I could create a modern, friendly and clean environment. Our main goal at Young’s Foot Clinic is to provide the highest standard of care for a wide range of foot and ankle complaints. We manage common conditions such as fungal infections, corns, and callus removal, nail cutting, and ingrowing toenails. We also offer minor surgeries such as dry needling for Verrucae’s and nail surgery. Young’s Foot Clinic also provides foot care across 8 care homes locally. So if you are after a bit of advice or have been putting off that lingering foot pain for a while Young’s Foot Clinic is on hand to help.

What is an ingrowing toenail?

An ingrowing toenail is where the nail pierces the skin on the toe. They can be extremely painful and cause inflammation and infection.

What causes it?

There are many reasons why an ingrowing toenail may occurr. Genetic factors can play a part, along with nail cutting technique and ill fitting footwear.

Is it serious?

Not normally, unless you have an existing condition such as a reduced immune system, poor circulation and diabetes. If infection is present this can spread to the rest of the toe and foot.

What are the treatment options?

Visit a podiatrist. They will assess whether an infection is present and antibiotics are required. The most important part is removing the problematic nail. This can be done gently by sectioning parts of the troublesome nail.

I was impressed from the outset when I messaged on a Saturday at 6pm for an appointment and had a reply almost immediately. So pleased I took my son to Young’s Foot Clinic with ingrown toe nails that another local podiatrist had failed to fix. Zoe was amazing. Very welcoming, very knowledgeable and very professional. I felt that the care given to my son was thorough and personal. A couple of days after his appointment my son said, “my toes haven’t felt this good in so long”! I would highly recommend this lovely practice.

Visited Zoe as my son had a problem with an ingrown toe nail. From the very beginning nothing was too much trouble. My son was very anxious but Zoe explained everything that was going to happen and put him completely at ease. I would highly recommend with no hesitation.

Brilliant, Zoe spotted a small diabetic ulcer I was unaware of and promptly referred me to the hospital foot clinic for treatment. I cannot thank her enough and will continue to let her look after my health. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
