Its the first of our Monthly Monday Matinee Movies TODAY, 1.30pm , The Barrington!

Why not come and join us, get out of the rain, and enjoy company, good chats, refreshments, and watch the wonderful Bridget Jones: Mad about the Boy!!!

Free with FCS Fun and Friends membership, or £3 on the door.

*FCS Fun and Friends membership group (previously Brendoncare), provides social and physical activities for all ages. The current programme is chair exercise, indoor kurling, and a monthly film and social club. All our activities are interspersed with quizzes, bingo, refreshments and silliness! Contact us to find out more as we develop this new service. .

We've been so blessed with harvest produce at our food bank 🥰

Thank you to our wonderful allotment volunteers, and Douch Family Funeral Directors , Ferndown dementia friendly town , Parley Place Care Home - Barchester Healthcare and Ferndown & Parley Rotary for all your support at our FCS Allotment.

And, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who has donated their excess produce, Apples, plums, pears, courgettes, tomatoes, you name it, we've had it. It's been hard for us volunteers to keep our own hands off it 😜

Together we can all support our community and make our world a little bit better, there is always hope and opportunity, even in the darkest of times. 💚🌱

We are doing a style of Super market sweep at Sainsbury’s Ferndown today, I will be there from 2pm until 4pm so pop in a say hello ! We are really short of certain items for the Food Bank so asking shoppers to pop something extra in their trolly for a little donation that will mean so much to those in our community.
Hash Brown: do not feed the volunteer’s 😜

⛱SUMMER COOKING CLUBS - FREE FAMILY FUN, BOOK NOW!!

School's out, and Summer is in!!! Here at FCS, we enjoy doing what we can to support and enrich young people and families opportunities, and our Cooking Clubs are hugely popular. Due to a lack of advertising (oops, sorry 😔), we have a few spaces THIS THURSDAY, for our family cooking club.

We'll be making delicious snack foods, and good old fashioned summer comfort foods with low budget and maximum flavour. For children and families 5yrs +, our Cooking Club makes and samples delicious food in the Larder & Food Bank+ in Ferndown. Its a great place for all ages to learn and practice new skills and have a taste of new and known foods. You will make a lunch/dinner and something sweet, with a chance to sample and take away your makes! Cookery Club is incredibly popular, so do book ASAP to secure your space. Young people must attend with an appropriate parent/carer. All FREE thanks to some generous funding and lovely volunteers, so perfect for those on a budget too.

Please book children's spaces only, no need to book accompanying adults, and limited to a maximum of 1 session each school holiday to allow as many to attend as possible. If we can we will allow more sessions per family and we will email you to let you know. Please let us know any allergies and additional needs in advance, so we can best cater for these. Cant wait to see you!

We were honored (and somewhat nervous!) this morning to be asked to host a talk for the Cambridge Society of Dorset - Alumni .

Thank you for coming to hear all about our work in the wider context of global and UK poverty, food waste, and community cohesion and support. We really hope you enjoyed your talk and tour.

We had a fantastic time at our Summer Sizzler Quiz night last night (and boy it was a sizzler in more ways than one🌞!). Congratulations to the winning team 11 with a stonking 144 1/2 points! Our last place team enjoyed some consolation haribos though!!

We raised a fantastic £402 for our work at Ferndown Community Support, whilst keeping costs low enough to enable all members of the community to take part in vital social and community activities.

All raising vital funds for our support and services in east Dorset, as well as giving everyone a good night out!

Our allotment is GROWING!

This is a great partnership between Ferndown dementia friendly town , Douch Family Funeral Directors , Ferndown & Parley Rotary and ourselves at FCS. With volunteers from all organisations pitching in, and funding from a variety of sources internally and externally, our allotment is a vital health and wellbeing resource for the community that is also producing the most amazing fresh fruit and veg for the food bank. Thank you to everyone who is involved
