Today we celebrated VE Day with a wonderful street party style lunch at Heathland House 🇬🇧✨

We captured the joy of the day with great food, music, laughter, and lovely memories. Our residents had a wonderful time celebrating together.

81 years ago, millions in the Allied nations celebrated the end of the Second World War in Europe.

Whilst fighting continued in the Far East until August, Victory in Europe Day was a significant moment in bringing an end to the global conflict.

Up and down the country people breathed a sigh of relief and took to the streets to celebrate.

Today we pay tribute to the Second World War generation, whose service and sacrifice protected the freedoms we enjoy today.

We had an amazing private dining experience in the lead up to the national competition
Several residents at Heathland House enjoyed a three course celebration meal featuring seasonal produce and an innovative menu

We’re excited to share a behind-the-scenes moment from the Cinnamon Chef Pair of the Year competition 👨‍🍳✨

For this special event, chefs from our sister homes teamed up to create a unique three-course dining experience, all centred around our residents.

Representing Hartwood House, our very own Dan partnered with Gaz from Heathlands House. The duo have a brilliant history together—Gaz previously worked alongside Dan here at Hartwood before moving on to his role as Head Chef at Heathlands.

It’s been fantastic to see them reunited in the kitchen, bringing their shared passion, creativity, and experience back together once again. We can’t wait to show you what they created… 👀
