We were thrilled to welcome Pony n Paws to Amberwood House recently 🐾

Sammy the Shetland pony and Scamp the cockapoo made their way around the home - visiting the lounge as well as residents in their rooms, to ensure those unable to join us in the lounge could still enjoy this lovely experience 💛

We can't wait to welcome them back soon!

A brilliant afternoon of theatre at Amberwood House 🎭

The Green Room brought their interactive show Much Ado About Something, with Sasha and Wendy leading a lively performance full of humour and audience participation.

Residents enjoyed singing along to favourites like Bring Me Sunshine and Oh What a Beautiful Morning - lots of laughter and involvement throughout! 😊

This year, we’re proud to mark 20 years of care, companionship and community 🌼

Over two decades, our home has become a place shaped by the people within it - where relationships flourish and daily life is lived with comfort and confidence.

We’re so grateful to all those who have contributed to our story and continue to make our home what it is today.

We’ll be celebrating throughout the year and look forward to welcoming you to share in these occasions.

A very special visit for Sheila at Amberwood House ❤️

Winton Salvation Army joined us for a surprise performance, bringing together familiar faces from Sheila’s years of service with them. She spent many years supporting their work, and seeing them again made for a truly meaningful afternoon.

A beautiful performance of her favourite hymn Be Still added to the moment — a lovely and emotional visit for everyone involved 🎶

Our residents and team had a wonderful time celebrating International Happiness Day last week!

We marked the day with a lively afternoon of tea, homemade cake and live music - a simple way to come together and enjoy good company 🌼

John recently enjoyed a one-to-one Rummikub session 🎲

With support from Companion Maddee, John learned the rules and soon found himself in a close and competitive game! Along the way, they enjoyed chatting about games from years gone by and sharing a few laughs. A relaxed and engaging session 😊
