Ferndown Manor is a purpose-built care home that offers round-the-clock residential, nursing and short-term respite care, as well as specialist dementia care. Located in Ferndown, Dorset, the experienced and skilled team deliver excellent care in luxurious surroundings. Residents are encouraged to live active and fulfilled lives with premium facilities, such as a cinema, hair salon and a café. The Ferndown team get to know each resident, including their needs, interests and tastes, tailoring their care and lifestyle plans to suit each individual. They carefully plan a wide range of group and one-to-one activities such as music sessions, outings and growing vegetables in the garden.

Today we made the most of the sunshine in our garden, where our lovely residents enjoyed a nutrition and hydration trolley filled with fruit, chocolate, smoothies, ice cream, and jelly drops.

We were also lucky to receive samples of some Jelly Drops samples for both residents and staff to try and they were a big hit, arriving just in time for Nutrition and Hydration Week!☀️
They’re 95% water and filled with lots of vitamins and are important for people who struggle to keep hydrated.

We’re delighted to have supported the fantastic work of the John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation at their recent Quiz Night 🎉

Our team at Ferndown Manor Care Home proudly donated a luxury hamper for the raffle, which helped raise an incredible £600 towards the evening’s total 👏

It’s wonderful to know that this contribution will go towards creating life-changing opportunities for young people — from educational trips to supporting talented individuals in achieving their dreams.

Today at Ferndown Manor staff and residents all dressed in green to get into the spirit, and this afternoon our lovely residents took part in a fun treasure hunt around the home. Following the clues in order they each got closer to the pot of gold⚱️

In the end, there could only be one winner… and who better than our very own Irish Pat, who discovered the pot of gold!🌈

To top off the celebrations, a couple of our residents enjoyed a well-deserved Guinness, raising a glass to the occasion!🍻

What a busy and lovely afternoon we had at Ferndown Manor!🌸

Our lovely residents and their families joined us for a special afternoon tea to celebrate Mother’s Day. Everyone enjoyed spending time together, sharing treats, and taking part in a fun team activity where we guessed famous mother and daughter duos.

A big thank you to all the family members who came along, joined in, and helped make the afternoon so special. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and appreciate all of our amazing ladies who are mothers and stepmothers, as well as to remember and reflect on the mothers who mean so much to them💐

Our Story

Ferndown Manor is a stunning purpose-built care home in Ferndown, Dorset. The home provides the latest in luxury living for older people with dedicated clinical and care teams providing residential and nursing care, as well as short-term respite care and specialist care for people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. We also provide sensitive palliative and end of life care.

We believe that residents should enjoy each day to the fullest; our colleagues take the time to understand your loved one’s needs, interests and tastes so that they are engaged and active in everyday life. We have a fabulous lifestyle team who plan activities ranging from in-home creative and music sessions to pamper sessions and planting in the garden.

Quality food and fine dining are key to the care provided by the Ferndown Manor team. Food plays a big part in our daily activities, including baking and growing vegetables in the garden for use in the kitchen.
