We stepped away from the day-to-day this week and took the Atlantis Tanks team to Distillery in Suffolk.
Surrounded by copper stills and rows of maturing barrels, the conversation turned to focus. Not hype; not big speeches; just clarity.
Jon Mytton, Managing Director started by emphasising that:
“Sales figures are vanity… but profit is sanity.”
The morning discussion, led by Riley Mytton, General Manager, outlined that our key business goals for this year and the next 3 were much more than just chasing volume. It was about building a business that’s disciplined, accountable and sustainable — and doubling down on what we’re genuinely good at.
Later in the day, Andy Beech 💥, our sales and business coach, reframed something important. When he asked who was in sales, only a few people stood up. By the end of the exercise, everyone did.
Because whether you weld, invoice, deliver, sell or market - we all influence whether a customer comes back.
It was a great day together. Honest, grounded, forward-looking.
Now it’s back to work — with a little more laser focus.
Thank you, Lee, for the very informative and humorous tour of the distillery.
