Many families worry about parents or relatives who are living independently but may be at risk of falls, fires, wandering, seizures, or not being able to call for help.

Durham County Council’s Telecare service, provided by Care Connect, uses discreet sensors and technology to help keep people safe at home – while protecting their independence.

Durham County Council’s Telecare service offers smart, 24/7 monitored sensors that can detect falls, fires, wandering, seizures and other emergencies — giving you peace of mind even when you can’t be there.

Telecare can support people who:
✔ Are at risk of falls
✔ Live with dementia and may leave home at unsafe times
✔ Can’t always call for help
✔ Are at risk of fires, seizures, or hypothermia

With round‑the‑clock monitoring and mobile responders trained in first aid, you can feel confident your parent is supported 365 days a year.
