🔥 I’ve been quietly cooking something juicy… and now it’s live! 🌱

I’m running a brand new workshop with the Psychedelic Society:
“Psycho-Hacking the Stuck States”

This is for anyone who’s ever thought: “Why do I keep looping through the same stuff, even after talking it through?”

We’ll go beyond talk therapy — into the body, the nervous system, and the subconscious patterns that keep us stuck.

"Think: EMDR meets parts work, meets breath and movement tools you can use even mid-panic.”

Expect:
🌀 Deep dives into trauma and how it’s stored
🎯 Simple tools for resetting the nervous system
👁️ A behind-the-scenes look at EMDR (and why it’s so powerful)
🌬️ Vagal toning, visualisations, and practical takeaways

No experience needed — just a nervous system and some curiosity.

📍Online
📆 Thursday 15 August
🕖 7–9:15pm

🌿 “Sometimes all you can do is change yourself — and sometimes that changes everything.”

Trauma can make us feel like we’re stuck in a loop — waiting for other people to change, for old wounds to heal on their own, for life to magically feel safe again.

The truth is, you can’t rewrite the past. But you can change how it lives inside you.
You can stop carrying what’s not yours.
You can choose to step out of the role of victim — not by pretending it didn’t happen, but by finally giving your mind and body a way to release what they’re still holding.

EMDR therapy is one way to do that.
It’s not about forgetting. It’s about freeing up the parts of you that got stuck — so you can move forward with your whole self, not just the wounded version.

When you’re ready to change, you don’t lose what served you.
You honour it — you thank the survival strategies that got you this far.
And you choose to grow beyond them.

✨ Ready to step into the fullest version of yourself?
Reach out — you don’t have to do it alone.

All you can do is change yourself. Sometimes that changes everything

The vagus nerve plays a huge role in helping your body calm down and feel safe after stress. Small, simple habits like deep breathing, humming, or splashing your face with cold water can gently activate this ‘rest and digest’ system.

Try one or two this week and notice how your body responds — every little bit helps your nervous system feel supported.

Im off to Ecstatic Dance tonight to get myself regulated !

“Healing trauma isn’t that simple… but it’s not that complicated either.”

I’ve been practicing vagal nerve toning for years — humming, cold splashes, deep belly breaths, mindful movement — you name it. And let me tell you: it’s not just trendy, it’s essential.

When you’re working through trauma — whether in EMDR or any good therapy — your nervous system needs to know it’s safe enough to do the deep work. Your vagus nerve is like the highway connecting your brain and your body. It’s the bridge that lets your system come back to calm after a storm.

In my own life, these tiny daily practices keep me grounded, open, and actually able to hold space for my clients — because I live this too. That’s why I teach vagal toning, grounding, and body-based tools alongside EMDR. We don’t just wave fingers around in front of your eyes — we help your nervous system do what it naturally wants to do: heal.

Here’s a short video I love on how to tone your vagus nerve: https://youtu.be/0zrlKLgnov4?si=cPaUwCiIqMTJjnJk
Give it a watch. Try something simple. Humming in the car counts. Gently splashing your face with cold water counts. It’s the small, consistent actions that build a system that feels safe enough to process old pain.

Because when your body trusts you, the healing work gets so much more possible. And maybe, just maybe, trauma isn’t quite so complicated after all.

🌿 Take care of your nerves — they’ve carried you this far.
🧠 And if you’re curious, this is exactly the kind of thing I weave into EMDR sessions with clients every week.

If you want to learn more, drop me a message. I’m always up for talking about how real, practical, everyday things make the deepest therapy possible.

A little throwback: the time I helped bring laughter Yoga to Guernsey!! Give me a link, if you remember this, give me a comment if you miss it !

Years ago, I was lucky enough to be part of a historic moment on the island — introducing Laughter Yoga sessions to our community through local groups and events.

What I loved (and still love) about Laughter Yoga is how it shows us that healing doesn’t always have to feel heavy. Sometimes, it’s our bodies — and not our words — that carry the stuck energy. A simple, honest laugh with others can remind your nervous system that safety and connection are possible.

These days I work mostly with EMDR therapy — helping people process trauma, anxiety, and that “stuck” feeling in the body. But the spirit is the same:
🌱 Your body knows how to heal.
🌱 You don’t have to explain everything to get relief.
🌱 You don’t have to carry it alone.

✨ “Sometimes it’s the simplest actions that help us feel safer in the moment.”

I love this gentle reminder from Mental Health UK — it’s so aligned with what Actions for Happiness stands for too: small, human steps that bring us back to ourselves and each other.

Focus on what you can control. Seek help if you need it

Hey friends — just opening the doors to something that’s been quietly building for a while 💠

I’ve started Soft Focus Therapy, offering EMDR and integrative therapy online. It’s for people feeling emotionally looped, stuck, or disconnected — especially folks who are tired of talk therapy and want something deeper, body-aware, and trauma-informed.

EMDR helps the nervous system complete what got frozen.

If you or someone you care about feels like they’re still carrying old stories, I’ve opened up a few free 20-minute EMDR intro calls.

🌀 Queer-informed
🌿 Burnout, trauma, emotional replay
🎧 No homework, just presence
