Taking care of our mental health is a bit like flossing and brushing - essential.
To calm my mind and not be swept away by overwhelm, I've been practising some lovely belly-breathing (as shown by my fabulous trainer this weekend, Caroline at Pelvic & Core Physiotherapy).
How to start? Place one hand on your chest and one on your belly, on your next inhale the hand on your chest should remain as still as possible. Keep working at it - it takes practice!
This will help to calm your mind and body.
You also take a moment for the sun ☀️today - this will help to improve feelings of wellbeing by boosting your serotonin levels that give you more energy and help keep you calm and positive.
Below are some more idea from Berkshire Health care.
