Manor Barn Care Home In the seaside village of Fishbourne, our Edwardian Manor Barn Care Home in West Sussex radiates historic charm.

This Grade II listed building dates back over a century, its elegant period architecture granting a palpable sense of warmth and nostalgia. Rhymecare Limited believe that the provision of high standards of care delivered to meet individual requirements in comfortable and attractive surroundings provides the secure and happy atmosphere that every individual has the right to expect. Our approach emphasises the need for good communication between care staff, residents and where appropriate, relatives that builds relationships that safeguard independence and dignity. Manor Barn is a grade 2 listed building which has its own distinct character. The home is set in well-kept grounds and enjoys a peaceful environment. The home has been carefully developed allowing it to retain many of the original features. There are 31 rooms all equipped to 21st century standards.

✨ Strengthening Community Connections at Manor Barn ✨

Today, we were delighted to welcome Emma Bayley, Customer Relations Manager at Prestige Nursing & Care Chichester & Worthing, to Manor Barn.

Building strong local connections like these is incredibly important to us. It’s always inspiring to share ideas, collaborate on community initiatives, and explore how we can continue to support one another. Our networking meet-ups truly sit at the heart of what we do and bring huge benefits to everyone involved.

We’re especially pleased that Emma was so complimentary about our new Dementia wing and the thoughtful, uplifting décor designed to promote comfort, familiarity, and wellbeing for our residents. Feedback like this means so much to our whole team.

✨ A Magical Afternoon! ✨

We had an exciting visit from a magician recently and our care home was filled with amazement and laughter! Cards disappeared, surprises appeared and everyone was left wondering how did they do that?! 🪄😄

🎅✨ Elf Eviction Notice ✨🎅
Well folks… after courting absolute mayhem, spreading uncontrollable laughter and fully delivering the Christmas spirit throughout Manor Barn, the elves have officially been escorted out of the nursing home by management 😇🎄
No hard feelings just jingling bells, aching cheeks from laughter and a building still buzzing with festive joy ❤️
As the doors gently closed behind us, there was only relief… because duty calls!

The elves must now return to the North Pole to support Santa during the busiest time of year.

Thank you to everyone for welcoming the mischief, the magic and the madness.

Christmas spirit: successfully delivered.

Now… back to work before Santa notices we’re gone! 😉🎁✨

Today was one of those days that reminds us why connection matters so much. 💛

For our residents, it was a reminder that their stories still matter. For our younger visitors, it was a lesson in kindness, patience, and respect. For all of us, it was proof that community is strongest when generations walk hand in hand.

These moments leave lasting impressions—on hearts, on memories 💛

Manor Barn Christmas Party 🎄✨

We were absolutely thrilled with the turnout at our Christmas party. Residents, family and friends all thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful festive day together. Santa himself made a special appearance, spreading Christmas cheer alongside Mrs Claus and even took time to check in on his five naughty elves who have been causing festive chaos around the home this past month!
