The theme for Carers Week 2025 is “Caring About Equality,” highlighting the importance of ensuring that all carers have equal access to support, recognition, and opportunities. It’s a powerful reminder that no carer should be left behind, and that creating a fairer, more inclusive society starts with valuing and uplifting those who care for others.

Many people do not immediately identify as carers, yet they provide crucial day-to-day support to family members or friends. Carers Week encourages them to acknowledge their role and access the support available to them.

Do you look after someone?

Unpaid carers often provide a lifeline for those they care for. To make sure they are recognised and supported, we need equality for carers.

Did you know … You can ask Social Care services for an assessment of needs for yourself (Carers Needs Assessment). Also, if you tell your doctor that you are an unpaid carer, they can register you as an unpaid carer in their records.

The Pembrokeshire team will be at the wellbeing event in the VC Gallery, Pembroke Dock on 10 June (10.00am-3.00pm)

You can check in by following the directions on the screen, and you will not need to wait in a queue to let us know you are here.
In addition, you will have the option of using a QR code to log in from your mobile phone device, and posters with the Code will be on display around the Health Centre.
