I took myself on a solo date on Tuesday to see Donna Ashworth — and it filled my heart 🫶!

We often show up for others, but how often do we show up for ourselves with the same care and excitement?

Yoga reminds us that we are our own best company.

Whether it’s rolling out your mat, sitting in stillness, or taking yourself somewhere that nourishes your soul — self-love is a practice worth showing up for 😍.

What is one way you have showed yourself love this week 👇

Today I took a walk in nature to notice the shifts as we move from late summer into autumn 🍁🍁.

The turning of the wheel of the year, the falling leaves, the softening light all reminded me of balance 🌗.

Balance isn’t a perfect still point, but more like a dance between action and rest, holding on and letting go, effort and ease 😌

Watching the leaves fall 🍂 reminded me of the power of loosening our grip, and trusting that in releasing, we create space for what is yet to come 💫.

This week in class, we’ll move and breathe together with this in mind ... finding steadiness beneath us and spaciousness within us 🧡

I am so sad to see the anti-immigration protests that I felt compelled to share.
I cannot imagine what it would be like to lose my home, to be forced to leave my country and to fear for my life and the lives of the peiple I love. Some of those seeking asylum will have lost loved ones and witnessed horrific war crimes and will inevitably be experiencing a degree of trauma.
As a human being I stand by those who are in need of support and who have had to leave their homes due to war, poverty, or disaster. At our core, we are all human and deeply connected and when we work together to build a more compassionate and united world perhaps we can live in one where fewer wars are fought, and fewer people are forced to flee in the first place. Anti-immigration protests do not solve the root causes of migration; instead, they fuel hate and division. And it is precisely this cycle of hate and division that breeds the conflicts we should be trying to end. By showing solidarity and compassion, we become part of the solution and we can help create a world where everyone has a safe home, a fair chance, and a future filled with dignity.

Nature doesn’t strive to be anything other than what it is…

The trees don’t rush their blooming. The sun doesn’t question its light. The river doesn’t ask if it’s flowing the right way. And yet, how often do we forget that we are nature too?

Nature reflects the truth of who we are and today at Solstice, the Sun is at the peak of its energy. As we remember earths rhythms may the summer solstice also remind you...

✨ You are meant to grow in your own time.
🌿 You are allowed to rest and rise, again and again.
🌞 You are already enough, just by being.

Let the earth mirror back your truth. You don’t need to chase wholeness—you are wholeness.

Slow down. Breathe deep. Return to your body, your breath, your rhythm. That’s where the remembering begins.

What is nature teaching you right now 👇?

What is yoga, really? ✨

After knee surgery, my usual asana practice is on pause, and wow—I can feel the difference! But instead of resisting, I’m tuning in. My body is guiding me through recovery, and I’m honoring its need for rest.

In the meantime, my practice has shifted into something softer, more contemplative. With the arrival of spring I’ve been able to rest in the garden and soak in moments of gratitude.for the sun warming my skin 🌞 i am enjoying placing my feet on the grass and feeling grounded.and also stting in stillness as I let myself just be.

Rest is just as important as movement—something we often forget in the rush of modern life. So this weekend, I invite you to pause, breathe, and find a moment to be present. ✨

✨You know you need to move more so that you can remain supple and strong but you are struggling to carve out the time to do the practices that will help you care for your body.
✨ You spend a lot of time doing activities that create problematic movement patterns, like sitting or repetitive sports and you would benefit from a practice to create more balance in the body and to use its full range of motion.

It is much easier to prioritise your wellbeing when you dedicate time and space to a regular practice, and when you are among a community of like minded individuals, so why not join us for Yoga with Lisa Marie.
