Today is a painful day for many as focus is put on mothers, some because of the loss of their mothers, others because of loss of children and pregnancy.

The original purpose of Mothering Sunday was refreshment and reunion. It was about the celebration of relationships and community

Let us use today to cherish and connect with those we love. ❤️

Mothering Sunday originated in 16th-century England as a religious tradition on the fourth Sunday in Lent, known as "Refreshment Sunday," where people visited their "mother church"—the main cathedral or church in their area—rather than their local parish. It evolved from visiting the church to a day for family reunions, when servants were allowed off to visit their mothers

When people cry at movies or stories it’s not because they are over emotional or soppy it’s because the stories whether good or sad touches their pain!

Clinical Supervision

Hi I’m studying a clinical supervision qualification and looking for supervisees. I ideally need about 6 to complete my qualification I’m offering a 50% discount while I’m studying and will continue to give those who work with me after qualification 25% discount for a year. So that £30 an hour now. And £45 an hour for a year after I qualify.

This is not shadow supervision and is recognised supervistion by all of the major governing bodies.

I’m an integrative counsellor working with a person centred/CBT combo framework.

Supervision both in person and on line. Providing a safe space to reflect on your client work as well as your thoughts, feelings and experiences without fear or judgement along with monitoring your personal wellbeing.

If you would like half price supervision or some top up supervision time go ahead and contact me! 😁❤️.

I receive positive feedback from my peers so why don’t you try for yourself.

Emotions!

We all experience them but what do you do with them?

We often find ourselves pushing emotions down but the human body isn’t designed to hold emotion.

We need to move to release it.

When you’re excited about something what do you do? Often we bounce children certainly do.
Yet when our emotions are perceived to be negative we hold on to them. Children wil often stamp their feet or throw themselves in the floor as a natural instinct, while this action is not appropriate for adults we do still need to release the emotion. That means we need to find a safe appropriate alternative.
Maybe running, writing, painting or tearing up a box or two. Screaming into a pillow or whacking soft furnishings or even gardening.
If the emotion is really big creating a safe space where you can smash something ( I recommend charity crockery not your best table ware or phone).
No matter the emotion in needs to be released from our bodies!
