Our Story

What We Offer Bumpkins York opened its sparkly new doors in January 2017. We are based in converted stables, in a lovely and peaceful rural setting; but still easily accessible by road. It is a purpose built studio which offers stylish and comfortable surroundings to our customers. Bumpkins is excited to be offering:

Early gender scans from 15Weeks, plus an exciting range of gender reveal products to take home & share the news with friends & family Non-diagnostic 3D/4D baby scanning held in a dedicated private scanning room with up to date equipment A separate studio space which will offer various classes and workshops to support mum, dad and baby A light, open and plush reception area complete with the Bumpkins boutique offering a bijou selection of handpicked baby gifts and accessories Celebration styling services such as baby showers, baby arrival showers, gender reveals, and associated products to purchase New born photographic services Why It Was Created Bumpkins was created to fill a gap in the local market of offering personalised support and resources towards mums and dads in one handy location. Currently parents and expectant parents need to visit multiple locations to obtain support and knowledge; whether that’s for pregnancy support, wellbeing advice, baby classes. We wanted to offer a full spectrum of support, inspiration and guidance in a stylish, comfortable and friendly fashion with a strong focus on giving parents the tools to be in control of their, exciting new stage of life. We are of course fully supportive of the maternity and scanning facilities available elsewhere but wanted to go the extra mile and provide more than just scanning which is where the classes, guidance, celebration services and local collaborations add to the uniqueness of Bumpkins. A scan at Bumpkins may only take 20 minutes, but it will be an experience which will last for years to come (for all the right reasons). Each and every one of customers will be looked after in a stylish, personable, friendly yet professional fashion. They will have the flexibility to pick and choose which services to suit their current and ongoing needs. In essence, we want mums and dads to be fully prepared and enjoy their pregnancy and birth experience in a confident, calm and joyful Who We Serve Bumpkins is based in a peaceful, rural setting which is nestled between the A64 and A166. It is easily accessible by road and we offer free onsite car parking. Our aim is to support expectant parents in the locality of Stamford Bridge, Malton, York, Scarborough and we hope further afield. The location was specifically chosen to offer our services to parents and expectant parents who are not currently being offered our services. These services are aimed at supporting mums and dads through the stages of pregnancy, birth, up to the little ones first birthday. We will be forging strong community links with an emphasis in nurturing babies and supporting new mums and dads. We offer a friendly, gentle, caring yet professional ethos. Who We Are Bumpkins is the creation of Katherine Ryecroft and brings a wealth of passion and experience to this business. It is important to us to deliver excellent customer service and to create an experience which our customers will cherish for years to come.
