This Wednesday we saw the residents enjoy their second Expressive Watercolour class of a six week course ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ

Everyone was very happy with the results and were surprised how far they have come in two weeks.

The course which is funded by Hampshire Achieves is the first course in an Avery home ๐Ÿก

Lovely course leader Jacky Purtill has a wonderful way of encouraging the residents to make the most of the classes with a very gentle approach ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ

There was dancing and singing ๐ŸŽถ and maybe a wee dram of whiskey ๐Ÿฅƒ the haggis was address by our lovely Scottish resident Jean and served to everyone to enjoy ๐Ÿ˜Š some Scottish shortbread was enjoyed with afternoon tea and finished off a wonderful afternoon ๐Ÿช—

Another crafty day at Fleet Hall yesterday! A lovely craft session with Kate in Reminiscence making new pots for the bingo counters, recycling pot noddle pots with paper mache ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ

Shaw Castle was finished yesterday after a coat of varnish to protect the wood, this has been a great activity for our gents in the afternoons ๐Ÿฐ promoting lots of conversations about their careers in engineering and how much they loved their work, our next model is a vintage Grand Prix car ๐ŸŽ๏ธ

We are very excited to announce that 7 team members from Fleet Hall will be taking part in a charity Skydive ๐Ÿช‚this June!

They will take off from the Old Sarum airfield jumping from 10,000ft ๐Ÿช‚ to support and raise vital funds for Dementia Uk,

At Fleet Hall we are always thinking of ways to fill in our times between scheduled activities, this wooden building set has definitely got the attention of some of our chaps ๐Ÿฐ weโ€™ve had two sessions already and are pleased with the progress so far, no glue no nails so nice and straightforward to encourage all abilities. Our next build is a vintage car ๐Ÿš˜

January has been full of creativity and fun, with Kate & Debbieโ€™s classes well organised and attended at Fleet Hall ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ the 2 hour sessions allow residents to drop in and out all afternoon as they wish, to experience some quality time creating some wonderful work, we also enjoy seeing family members join the classes to share some wonderful moments together โ™ฅ๏ธ
