Sneaking back onto social media to ask for support for this incredible charity....The Yoga Community around "Yoga With Lis" is a fabulous one so I am feeling hopeful that there may be some offers of support for our raffle and auction π€π»ππ»π Come along and enjoy the fun

BRAVE? BOLD? BONKERS?
Is social media social? I keep coming back to the thought that it is about as far from social as you can get.
Interaction via a keyboard, no warmth, no real human connection.
I know the for many businesses social media is a lynchpin, and without it their businesses would not flourish.
I honestly donβt believe that applies to βYoga With Lisβ It may be that I am wrong, and that in time I decide I want to be back in the world of Instagram and Facebook. But for now I donβt think it is a helpful place for my business or for me.
We've spoken about my decision in class a lot this week and the response has been overwhelming in favour of conversations, email, and more information on my website.
I thrive on conversations with people, seeing the light in peoples eyes, getting outside, not sitting at a computer creating Canva templates.
Around 90% of the people who attend my classes come to me because someone has recommended them, and the rest find my website on a Google search.
So for now I am stepping away. Getting a bit more grounded! My website yogawithlis.co.uk has had a few changes, simplifying how to book and now also with a βNews and Eventsβ page for sharing things that I I have coming up. In the next few weeks there will also be a partner page and I am working on a recommendations page too.
Iβll continue to send emails as I launch new events, update my timetable or have something interesting to share.
Something very interesting launches this Monday......
Stay well, and Iβll look forward to seeing you soon in person rather than via a social media post ππ»

I'm looking forward to a lovely week ahead of Yoga:
Often for Summer Solstice Jen and I plan an event, either together or separately but today we both have plans of our own. Jen is swimming Pier to Pier in Brighton, and I am at a Wedding.
As we canβt be with you today we have a gift for you instead.
As we welcome the beginning of Summer we would love to invite you to our Restorative Yoga and Sound Bath experience on either July 18th or September 12th.
Just for today you can use the code Summer5 for Β£5 off either class.
In July we are really hoping that the weather will be kind to us, if so we are planning on heading into the SANGS land to see the sunset. This is a great spot on a clear evening.
See you soon, Solstice Blessings.

Over the past few years I have tried to give gifts that create memories, rather than cluttering shelves, filling drawers and ultimately ending up in landfill.
If you would like to gift someone time and memories my E Vouchers are fully customisable; for an event, classes or a set value, just let me know and I can create something just for you.
Although my small people aren't so small anymore I remember very well how hectic school mornings can be with breakfasts, locating missing shoes, school drop off, lunchboxes, remembering what trip is happening, if I'd signed a reading diary.....
By the time 8:45 rolled around it sometimes felt like bedtime!
In September I am thinking of launching a term time only Monday morning Yoga class at The Willis Hall (just round the corner from Tweseldown Infant School and Gally Hill School) so straight after drop off you can gift yourself a bit of time to breathe, move and set yourself up for the rest of the day.
The class would run for 45 minutes.
I'd really love to know if this is something people would be interested in attending.
Perhaps you could give this post a thumbs up or comment to let me know?

Last week I had a 121 PT session with an_pt_50 (Andy Neail PT on Insta)
Yoga, walking and agility with my 4 legged fur babies gives me a huge amount of joy, and helps to keep me fit and strong, but I have decided that I'd like to add some weight training and more cardio to my life.
What a great experience, there were lots of exercises that my Yoga practice really helped me with, stability in exercises using plank as a base were great (although that bum needs to be lower!!) utilising core in hanging knee raises and lunges, but wow......there is work to be done π
If you are considering PT, either individually or as a small group I'd really recommend getting in touch with Andy, he is a great motivator, listens to your goals and tailors your plan.
Thanks Andy, looking forward to our next session.

This morning in class we talked a little about the importance of our feet providing stability for our entire body and how what happens in our feet can be felt throughout the entire musculoskeletal system. Iβve just shared a reel to my stories which beautifully illustrates fascia and how we can begin to get connected to the wonders of its working by getting to know our feet π£

I began my own Yoga journey in 2002, having suffered from excruciating cluster headaches for some months I decided to see if Yoga could help. Not only did it cure my headaches it also began to take away the aches and pains I had for years in my knees. Although I βfoundβ yoga looking for help for physical ailments, I quickly came to realise the huge benefits to my emotional well being too.
βHaving attended classes with Sam Rao for 16 years, through 2 pregnancies, work challenges, losing family and a close friend I found that Yoga really was the one thing I could turn to for help physically and mentally. In 2018 I took the leap to begin the next part of my Yoga journey and began my training with Sam Rao Yoga School.
βI began teaching in January 2019. Since graduating I have attended numerous courses and workshops including teen Yoga to extend my learning and be able to offer more classes to my yogis. am really passionate about my Yoga practice and teaching. I firmly believe that Yoga is for everyone, no exceptions, and that we can all benefit from regular practice for our bodies and minds.
Incorporated with my Yoga practice is a love of doTERRA essential oils. I began using doTERRA in January 2018 after being introduced to them at at Yoga day. Initially for the benefit of my own health and well being, and then I began integrating them into all of my families lives. The ways we have used them has honestly been life changing. From minor aliments to far more serious health concerns, whenever I reach for my oils they have never failed to give incredible results.
Each week I have four Hatha Yoga classes, and a teen class and monthly I share a Yoga Nidra class integrating doTERRA Essential Oils. Classes are held at Studio 24, Church Crookham, to book one of my classes please visit my website www.yogawithlis.co.uk.
