It really was an honour and a privilege for VoxChoir to join forces with local choristers at St Mary's Church Streatley this morning, for a beautiful and touching farewell to a dear family member Grandad & dad - Andrew, who we learned much about through warm heartfelt words & eulogy today from many that loved him and will miss him 🙏🏼 He was a huge advocate for his local community, who always volunteered to help where needed & was a cheerer of people, raising funds for charity as well as hearts & minds. Thank you to Phil & his lovely family for inviting us...we really were touched to be present as part of supporting family and friends and it was wonderful & challenging to sing such classic songs of faith - different to our usual pop genre, which we all enjoyed immensely🎶❤️
We sang: Dear Lord & Father of Mankind, There Is A Green Hill Far away, Eternal Father Strong To Save, Jerusalem and for final song and exit of service Sing by The Carpenters (a particularly emotional moment for the whole church 🥲.
Also we wish one of our long standing fabulous choir members Karen Marr a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Thank you for choosing to be with your fellow Voxies today!🎈🎂 ###
