🎄✨ OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT – CHRISTMAS DAY DINNER 2025 ✨🎄

We are so proud to share that planning has begun for this year’s Fleetwood Christmas Day Dinner ❤️

Our mission is simple — to make sure no one in our community has to spend Christmas Day alone.
We know Christmas can be an incredibly difficult and painful time for many people, and we want to help lift that weight and bring warmth, friendship, and comfort to those who need it most.

Whether someone is facing loneliness, loss, hardship, or simply doesn't want to be on their own — they are welcome at our table.

This year, we want to spread the word far and wide — to reach both the guests who may need us, and the wonderful people who want to volunteer and be part of creating a truly special day 💛

If you know someone who lives alone, feels isolated, or might struggle at Christmas, please let them know about our dinner.
And if you'd like me to personally give them a call and invite them, just get in touch — I am more than happy to do so 💛

An NHS Health Check takes 30 minutes and is a really useful way to get a better understanding of your current level of health, as well as any future risk factors.
No appointment necessary but if you would like to reserve a specific time slot you can contact the team on: 0300 033 6431
Please note that to be eligible you must be aged 40-74 and have not had a full NHS Health Check in the past five years. You can find full eligibility criteria and more about what's involved here: https://nhshealthcheckslancashire.co.uk/eligibility/

💊 Ensure your repeat prescriptions are ordered, and consult with pharmacists if you need help managing medications.

❌ Cancel any appointments that are no longer needed - these can be made available to those who need them.

🚨 Please remember you may be seen quicker at a more appropriate service and it keeps our emergency department and ambulances for serious or life threatening illnesses or accidents.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month 🎀

Key symptoms of breast cancer include a new lump in the breast or armpit, changes in the size or shape of the breast, skin changes like dimpling or redness, and ni**le changes such as inversion, discharge, or rash.
Pain is a less common symptom but should be checked if it doesn't go away. It's crucial to see a doctor for any new or unusual changes, even though most lumps are benign, as early diagnosis significantly improves treatment success
