The Free NHS health check is designed to help you prevent heart disease, stroke, diabetes and kidney disease. The Check is part of a national scheme aimed at patients aged between 40 and 74 who do not suffer from certain medical conditions such as High blood pressure, Diabetes and high cholesterol and can be done every five years. The Check will only take 10 -20 minutes.

Smoking causes damage to your blood circulation and your heart, increasing your risk of developing conditions such as heart disease, heart attack, stroke
and it can damage the arteries that supply blood to your brain. Even one cigarette a day increases the risk of a heart attack by 50%.

Results are available in 10 minutes following a finger prick test and cost £30. The test identifies if the body has developed an antibody response to a COVID19 infection.
